We stopped at Leo's on our way home from LA. I was excited to see (at that time) that Leo's only had 5 star reviews. Unfortunately, Leo's rating felt pretty inflated based on our experience. Don't get me wrong, Leo's is a nice spot and all, but it's certainly not a standout breakfast experience. We arrived around 10am. I thought it was odd when we came in that the specials boards were all blank, except one said "blue cheese" and nothing else. Not a big deal, just odd. We ordered the biscuits and gravey and smoked salmon bagel along with a cappacino and a latte. Unfortunately, we were given two cappacinos (3 star service). My wife didn't want to return hers, as she likes cappacino as well. The espresso in the drinks was fine, a little bland but fine. The complimentary little biscotti was a nice touch. The Salmon bagel was delicious and definitely the only 5-star part of the experience. The salad that it was served with was really uninspired (3 stars). The dressing was sweet and the greens were your standard grocery store mix with a single cherry tomato split on top. Again, not bad, but just fine. My wife got the biscuit and gravy. This was sadly not very good (3 stars). The gravy (bacon based) was bland needed both salt and pepper, and the biscuit was a little tough and somewhat chewy on the bottom. Her over-medium eggs were well cooked. It was a generous portion, but overall was 'jusy okay'. The decore was clean and the restroom was tidy, but overall, for the price it was a pretty middling experience. The servers seemed hurried/stressed the whole time, and I noticed the chef watching them closely and directing them from behind the counter, which sort of created a rushed vibe. Next time we pass through we'll look for somewhere else to try. Overall, Leo's is fine and clearly they're trying their best, but I just can't see how it had 35 reviews and every single...
Read moreParty of four for breakfast was greeted promptly, with a smile and we were seated. No booths in the restaurant. Available seating outside. Menu has a limited selection. Enjoyed my double espresso! â Food was good but my french toast and syrup was not warmđ. Bacon was prepared exactly the way it was requested. Hubby enjoyed his BLT eggs benedict. Unfortunately the more people that were seated, the louder it got. Don't know if I will get another chance to give them a...
Read moreGood food away from touristy part of town. Highly recommend! Located in a small shopping center. Fantastic service. Seems like more of a locals breakfast place. Expect to pay $20-$25/person for breakfast. Fresh ingredients. Small indoor dining area with small outdoor dining patio out front. All breakfast meals we had were delicious. Portions on the larger side, so you don't leave hungry. Excellent coffee. Will return next time we...
