The Warwick Tavern — Restaurant in Somerdale

Stopped in here while passing through the area on a Sunday afternoon. 4 stars for the food 2 for the place itself. It's a typical local dive bar. It wasn't dirty but just needs some updating. If you're 6' tall or taller be careful the ceilings in the entrance are low. Definitely a local spot all the patrons knew each other. Everyone was polite as was the bartender. They state they have the best wings in South Jersey. So I ordered 10 fried with the second hottest sauce a d 10 grilled with sweet chil and a side of baked beans. The fried wings are small (the way I like them) and very crispy. Also a plus for me. They were very tasty just not as hot as I thought. Next time I'll go up a heat level. I moved to the Stratford area three years ago, I came from a very ritzy area and only frequented places like Delfriscos. Never would I have thought, that I would go to a “local bar” and enjoy myself the way I enjoy myself at the wick. The wick is the most amazing place, with the most REAL people, I love it more than anything. I am moving to Florida Soon, and to be honest, missing the wick is in the forefront of my mind as a prepare my move. I am going to miss the owners, and the people, more than I will miss my own house. Most towns have their little dives that serve the locals. This is sorta that, but so, so much better. The Wick manages to push out brilliant food and has enough varieties of craft beer that I'm kinda sad to review it -- I don't wanna have to fight for a seat here. I did get the wrong wings delivered to my table (short staffed that day) but they were delicious enough that it didn't matter. (Will update on the spice level once I get my hands on the right ones.)
