This used to be my favorite place for takeout. I've been going to Italian Street for over 5 years, and while I've always felt it to be on the pricey side, I never minded spending more for excellent quality food, which it always had been. Sadly, it has consistently been going downhill for the past 6 months or so. The food was not very good tonight. I spent $15+ on a tuna hoagie that barely had any tuna on it. Just look at the pictures. A schmear of tuna salad at best. The roll was supposed to be an Atlantic City hard roll, which it wasn't, and the tuna had a metallic after taste. The shredded lettuce on top seemed fresh, but that wasn't enough to redeem this sandwich. We also got a cheese steak stromboli, which is one of my go-to Italian Street orders. In the past, the top used to have a delicious buttery garlicky glaze, which it was missing tonight. And just like my sandwich, there just wasn't much filling. Again, I love eating out, and I've never had a problem paying more for great food, but tonight's food was not good. I'm sad to not only have had a disappointing dinner, but moreso to have to find another go-to pizza take-out joint in an area that I consider to be lacking in this department.

WOW. What an amazing experience. We ordered a simple cheesesteak on soft roll and buffalo chicken cheesesteak on hard roll, with onion rings with side of their garlic parm sauce. Cheesesteak was delicious, the star of the show was the buffalo chicken cheesesteak absolutely. The buffalo sauce was so good, blue cheese sauce perfect, and looked like they even put tiny shavings of basil too - People, you NEED to try this sandwich my goodness so delicious. The onion rings were good but only short downfall is in the clear plastic to-go container they put it in, there are no holes to release the heat so they get a bit soft and not as crunchy as they could have been. 5/5 can’t wait to stop by this place soon šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹

Really nice staff. Ordered a nona’s pie with sausage, well done. Came out hot. Upon eating, flavors were good, however, sausage was clumped and the pie was mushy. Very wet and sloppy. Am used to a thin crust nona pie almost like a flat bread. Even asked for it to be well done to hopefully receive it crisp. Didn’t happen. Shame, had a good taste, but too mushy. Really don’t understand why sausage was clumped and too much sauce to make it soupy. Had to eat it with a fork, unable to pick up a slice.

For the most part, the food at Italian Street is quite good. However, if you're ordering by phone, cross your fingers that the owner answers the phone. He's always polite and he listens and he takes your water and it gets here very quickly. When his wife answers the phone, she's always rude and short-tempered. And told me once that I couldn't get regular bread instead of focaccia bread because focaccia bread comes with the order, and if I want the regular bread or Italian bread I would have to pay for an order of bread. I told her to forget it. Sometimes when she answers, I just hang up. Today, I called and gave him my order and forgot to tell him that I don't want the focaccia bread, so I called back. Unfortunately the woman answered the phone and would not even let me say my entire phone number. She kept interrupting with area code 609? I had to say it five times because when I finally got the whole thing out which I said loudly and carefully, she said could you say that more slowly. I told her I was calling because I didn't want the focaccia bread. she told me she was canceling my order and hung up on me. I called back several times and, after hanging up on me several times she listened to me and then wanted to know what kind of bread did I want a roll of Italian bread. Said I believe he usually sends the Italian bread. Then, he called me and told me that the woman was his wife and that I was no longer welcome in the restaurant. The poor man is so henpecked he doesn't mind sending away a good customer to make her happy. I'm sorry that I can't get their food anymore, but if she's rude to more people like that, I won't be the only...

I rarely write reviews, but this restaurant left such a lasting impression that I simply had to share my experience.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the culinary delights of this Italian restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! Whether you're dining in or opting for take-out, this place delivers excellence in every aspect.

Let's talk about the menu. It's incredibly rich and diverse, offering a wide array of Italian classics and gourmet creations. From homemade soups and appetizers like bruschetta and fried calamari to exquisite pasta dishes like Bolognese and Carbonara, there's something to tantalize every taste bud.

What impressed me the most was the option for take-out. Despite the elaborate menu, the quality of the food remained impeccable even when enjoyed at home. Each dish was carefully prepared, packed with flavor, and presented beautifully, ensuring that every bite was a culinary delight.

I can't overlook the exceptional service provided by the staff. Whether dining in or picking up an order, the team here goes above and beyond to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Whether you're looking to indulge in a leisurely dine-in experience or enjoy a gourmet meal in the comfort of your own home, this Italian restaurant is the perfect choice. With its rich menu offerings, top-notch quality, and outstanding service, it's truly a culinary gem. Highly...

Update: The owner did call the next day, which I appreciate. He sent over pizzas, salad & dessert to make up & make right for what happened. Order take out at 6:52pm not knowing they closed at 8pm, also was not told by the person answering the phone. Place my order said I would be paying cash & was told the delivery should be 40-60 minutes but she definitely said it would be before 60 minutes. No big deal, but they should inform you the restaurant & kitchen could be closed by the time you get your order. Order received & taking it out for the bag my son’s dinner is missing completely, that’s my biggest concern plus I just paid cash & tip. When I call twice to get someone to answer, I just got an apology for my son’s dinner missing which I paid for & the kitchen is closed & we will give you a credit or cash back & the response was so scripted making you wonder how much they do this when cash is involved. I asked for the owner to call me tonight, was told they may be too busy. Is a customer always right retail 101??? I was trying to support a different local business but learned my lesson stick with the local businesses you know definitely not this one. Still waiting for that phone, Tuesday night must...
