Asian Buffet — Restaurant in Somerset

I went here to celebrate a big change and things finally getting better. I just wanted some decent sushi.

It looked nice at first glance. I start eating some of the sushi and everything is ok... Then I eat the eel. I have had eel hundreds of times. I know exactly how it's supposed to taste even at its most mediocre states. It tasted like nasty rice pudding that had been left out and had a foul taste. It was so bad it became the first time I have ever spit out eel sushi. Eel has a slight tenderness to it as well as the skin having an even slighter crunch. This was just straight mush.

I called the waitress over and told her that I will pay for my meal but I am not paying the extra for left over food. They denied everything as an honest business who doesn't care about their customers. The girl then said "We prepare everything in the morning."

So I will remind this subpart business of a few things.

1. Eel is supposed to be served fresh when ordered. Not made in the morning and served in the afternoon.

2. it's not like any other poorly prepared food, it is onebthat carries serious health risks such as food poisoning for starters.

3. you lied and said nobody has complained before. I suggest you look at your reviews more.

4. be happy if I don't call the FDA. Because this is not Just poorly prepared food. This is food that if not prepared correctly causes health risks. You're carelessness is careless of your pateons well being.

5. grow up and admit when your wrong. Any novice to sushi can tell you eel is to be prepared fresh to...

12/3/23- very disappointed this place has gone down hill. It was a Saturday night and we should have none better and went somewhere else when we seen how dead it was. All the food was old you could even see the oils separating from the food. My son (12) ate nothing but chicken fingers, lettuce, and jello he tries some spare ribs but they were hard as rocks. My daughter (8) are chicken wings and the bread she tried other things but could stomach it. The husband and I are our usual even tho it was cold and bland. Now it 5 am and I'm in the bathroom wishing I would have spent $65 somewhere else. And I'm normally a tipper no matter what but we were the only ones there and at times had plates piled on our table with the waitress sitting on her phone. So that coupled with the horrible food that is NOT worth $65 for 4 to eat I could not justify tipping them for messing my stomach up. Worst place I ever went to in my life , food is terrible it’s like it just sits their all day rotting , Pepsi taste weird. I seen a rat in the bathroom and almost fell floor was slipper , barely enough food options This restaurant falls short in many areas, making it a frustrating experience. The service is slow and inattentive, with waitstaff rarely checking in or addressing customer needs in a timely manner. The food, when it finally arrives, is often underwhelming—either overcooked, bland, or lacking in the freshness one would expect from a decent dining establishment. The ambiance is no better, with uncomfortable seating, poor lighting, and a noisy atmosphere that makes conversation difficult. Additionally, the prices are high for the quality of food and service provided, making it feel like a poor value overall.
