I'll admit, I'm addicted. Ever since they opened, I've been obsessed with going here as often as possible.
You can order inside at the counter, park outside at the car-hop stations (please remember to bring cash for a tip, you can't tip on CC), or the drive-thru, which I haven't tried yet. Either way, your order will be brought to you by an employee on skates, and they review your order to make sure you're getting what you asked for.
One side-note for the people complaining about drive-thru speeds; Sonic makes food to order; it's not pre-made like other places. That's why it takes so long. Don't expect McD speeds from a Sonic. To be honest, I'm surprised they even bothered putting in a double-lane drive-thru.
Inside, the seating is decent, though the metal chairs are uncomfortable as heck. If you happen to see a cashier named Lucy, she is perhaps the friendliest foodservice worker I have ever met in my life.
On to the food. Most of it is fantastic. The burgers are delicious, the french toast sticks are good, and the tater tots are to die for. I would murder my own mother for more ice cream cones. (Not really, but you know what I mean.)
A couple items I'm not in love with are: the corn dogs. They're downright awful. It's the first time in my life I've thrown one away after one bite. The lil grillers are overpriced for what you get. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but there's too much sausage in the breakfast burrito; it overwhelms it.
All in all, I can't get enough of this place. I'm in love. You should avoid the drive-thru and corn dogs if...
Read moreThe most frustrating thing in the world is when you specifically ask someone for a light amount of cheese cake mixed in with your ice cream and they must add a TON. The ice cream is so sweet at that point I end up throwing it out. And they put like one Oreo on the top lol. So I go there again this time give them another chance for some late night ice cream, and again I say a small and mount of cheese cake mix in a LARGE ice cream. I tell her how grossly sweet it was last time and she agreed that to much spoils it. Of course I get it and I get home and start eating it and what do you know! It tastes like they dumped a bag of sugar and cheese cake mix in it. It isnât hard man I know it isnât I worked there when I was a lot younger. I always think I should complain then get another one on the house cause this is 12$ now wasted on 2 screw ups that really is hard to screw up. But I donât. Whatâs the point honestly? They take your name down and remember you when you come in Lol. I wonât go here again. This is the only sonic that does this. The one in Smithfield RI doesnât do this, Iâm guessing they have more common sense. There a lot nicer too over the speaker when your ordering. Last night the...
Read moreThis fast-food restaurant has been a go-to of mine since I moved to the area about a year ago. They have a large menu, with a wide variety of options including burgers, hotdogs, chicken meals, and more. I wouldn't say they were the cheapest option to go with - two meals and two "blasts", their equivalent of a DQ blizzard, will net you around $25-30 per trip.
That being said, the most I have ever spent here is $60 for a meal for five people. Although the service is usually quick, they do have problems with accuracy. My usual order is a plain hamburger with ketchup and mustard. This is not on the menu, but they do offer cheeseburgers. I would say, after clearly expressing I want a hamburger not a cheeseburger, I am still 5/10 times given a cheeseburger. However, this is made up for by the usual friendly service offered here and corrected quickly. There are some cashiers here that are rude but the vast majority are not.
I would 7/10 recommend this place to people I know. If you're looking for an assured correct order, I would advise you to travel a bit further up the street to Friendlys instead. The wait is longer, but for picky people like myself, the take away...
