This was the absolute worst experience that we have ever had in a restaurant!! The person who took our order, Ashtyn, took our partial order then went to the pass-through window after I had asked for a sample of their mashed potatoes, instead she and other employees on the front, Jaylynn and Alyssa, and three boys on the back line were bent over the counter talking and laughing about it, i had to ask the Ashtyn if she could come please take my husband's order and then I would decide whether or not I wanted the mashed potatoes. After we had finished we ordered Custard and as we were waiting we saw a boy named Trevor throwing food, trying to aim for a trash can but missed, then picked it up off the floor with his hands and took somebodies food and put it on a tray and then rubbed his hands across the counter back and forth while he was playing around. Several of the employees stood around laughing and horsing around as we waited. Then when we had gotten custard Trevor handed one of the cones of custard to my husband who told him no he did not want that because he hadn't washed his hands, although him and the other staff members claimed that he had washed them, but we still refused it. When I handed it back to one of the other staff, Mariah, I told her I wanted another cone made she walked away and I had to call her over again to get her to make another cone. She didn't like having to do that. And during this time all the staff was bent over counters in the back of the line and on the front line discussing what had just transpired between us and the boy and girl with the custard. My husband asked for the manager on duty, Kelsey, and she said yes she's had to fire a couple of people over issues like this but didn't seem too concerned with our complaint. All the employees were laughing about us and talking about us in our presence. When my husband asked one of the boys that was leaning on the counter intently watching us if he didn't have anything better to do than watch what was going on with us and and the manager he said, no he was watching what was going on. The manager never said anything to the boy about this. None of the crew was concerned about our discussion with the manager, in fact they continued laughing and carrying on during our talk and as we left. She never once told them to get back to work or to get off the counters!! We will not ever go back there again when we visit!! I called back and was able to speak with the owner for quiet some time about our experience two days later. He was extremely nice and understanding, apologized several times for his staff and assured me he would deal with this and changes would be made. He invited us to come back and give his establishment another chance. I must also mention that we had been there 5 days earlier and the service was fine, but different staff or at least mostly different with none of the antics of the Thursday night staff. We will give this Culver's another chance when we are there again if we want Culver's, which is one of our...
Read moreAfter many visits, normally buying the same thing, we came to the drive-through to place an order for large cheese curds. Now these things are by no means cheap. We were asked what dipping sauce we would like. Of course we assumed it came w With the order since she ask what we would like. When we realized at the window we were charged for each condiment, we asked what the change was as we have never been charged before. And now even after the manager was called over everyone had the same blank attitude like well we charge $.35 or some nominal amount for those. My husband wouldn’t have ordered a sauce at all had it not been offered. As it stands, he was so irritated by the flippant attitude And the whole transaction that he told them to cancel the order and advised Them he would never be returning. Now that might seem extreme but the principle of the matter was not nor was it hard to remedy by the manager. But that one small visit and a discrepancy over one small thing just cost any and all of our business forever. I will never be able to convince him to return to a Culver’s. It’s like $8 for cheese curds anyway so expecting a complementary dipping sauce is probably to be expected for that price. Signed an unhappy...
Read moreI just stopped at Culver's in Somerset Kentucky and I won't ever be back. I sat in the drive thru for over 20 minutes just waiting to order, and while waiting there were 2 customers that left because the wait was so long. I got to the window to pay and the cashier verified my order , and after paying she put a number tag on my door and asked me to pull up behind the car in front of me. There were 4 other cars also waiting for their orders which maybe wouldn't be unusual if it weren't 8:10 at night. They had people running out orders like they didn't know what was going on. A girl ran a bag out to me and said it was my order. I just wanted to get out of there and eat so I left and when I got to stop and eat, the order wasn't even mine! I ordered a single cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce and onion with an order of fries and a sprite. The only thing right was the sprite. I did get a plain cheeseburger and cheese curds instead of my fries. I don't know how the rest of the Culver's restaurants are but this one is absolutely terrible. I won't ever be back and I will let everyone I know to stay away...
