Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Somerset

I never leave reviews but… My meal was 20 bucks..3.49 for three pieces of bacon?! 2.59 for a hash brown that averages 40-50 cents off supplier trucks?! I know franchises and this owner has lost the plot on markup and I love to normally eat at Dairy Queen’s in my travels but this specific Dairy Queen pricing is beyond the consumer. My order was handed to me through drive thru and when I drove away it wasn’t my order. I turned around pulled back to the window and explained the mixup, the employee on speaker then told me I took the wrong order. No madame, I was handed the wrong order. No apology, no discount just a look from the younger staff versus the kind older employee actually at the second window. I then began to eat my bacon only to find a hair the size of Canada wrapped around the bacon (I’m bald so not mine). Will never return which of course they don’t care but maybe someone from corporate will 1-take a look at pricing thresholds as owners can charge more than suggested pricing but you also have to understand the consumer and the effect of outrageous pricing on the consumer for managed/franchised chains. 2- based on the patterns of reviews it would appear we have a staffing issue with mixing up orders..maybe some more training. 3- The hair...

In my opinion, this Dairy Queen is quite possibly the best overall location I've ever visited. From the moment you step in, it's evident that the management runs a well-tuned establishment, ensuring every aspect of the experience is top-notch. Food was good, Ice cream was fabulous, they had fantastic service and staff. However the atmosphere at the time of my visit was less than desirable. Several families had screaming children and said parents made no move to quiet or to even try and calm their children. One group literally let their child scream for 10 min straight, making it hard for other families to enjoy their meals. My own two small children kept asking me what was wrong with the other diners that they didn't even attempt to calm their children.
