El Taxco Mexican Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Somerset

My family and I ate here today for lunch. We had an overall bad experience. My son ordered a kids cheeseburger with fries. His burger tasted and smelled like fish and he only took a few bites. We waited 15 mins for someone to check on us and they never did. No one even walked by us for us to get their attention. My son had to go to the front of the restaurant to get someone to help us. I asked if he could get an a la carte kids burrito in place of the hamburger. They did bring it but charged us for an adult burrito. I asked about it at the front and they said they changed it to a kids burrito but the price only changed by a few cents . I then had to get the menu and show her the price of a kids burrito. I asked her where our server was because we hadn't seen him for at least 20 minutes. She informed us that he left which explains why no one waiting on us. This was my first time at El Taxco. The service was excellent. The waiter kept my drink topped off, something that I greatly appreciate in the service.

The entrees here are very good. The appetizers we got were less impressive for their price but still good tasting. When your plate arrives, I think you'll be impressed with a very good looking meal. The only thing I would seek to improve is the salad. The ratio of lettuce to more flavorful parts (cheese/pico) made the salad the most "meh" part of the meal.

Unlike our last visit to speedy tacos in Somerset,which used to be our go to,El Taxco delivered the goods. The waitress smiled as we walked in, they seated us and promptly brought us water, chips and salsa, and took our order.We did not have to ask for extra napkins, they just brought them.The food delivery was lightning fast.The fastest I have ever had in a NON fast food restaurant. On top of it all, the prices were VERY reasonable, and the food was great.
