Brianna's Cafe — Restaurant in Somerville

Being a lifelong resident of the neighborhood, I have been to Johnnys (aka Thurston Spa) since I was a little (little) kid. Its changed hands and just changed over time. But, always had a neighborhood feel. Freddy (the cook) took over and gave the place a nice make over and made it a legit little diner. Hadnt been going for this and that reason.. But, Im back.. Stopped in this AM to get some breakfast and wow... Top notch. Perfect pancakes along side what you would think is a run of the mill plate - It aint. Made with love and done just right.. Didnt know breakfast could be that good. 5 stars to a welcome sight and spot on...

This place wasn’t awful, but definitely disappointing considering all the good reviews. The food was very underwhelming; while prices were good, the portions were small. The pancakes unfortunately tasted like they were made from a mix. The service wasn’t great either—our server never checked back with us until we asked for something, and the kitchen staff who brought out our food seemed annoyed at our request for an additional item. Just ordered take out from Brianna’s and had an awesome experience. A small, family-owned, diner-style restaurant with a great variety of options. Over several orders I’ve tried several dishes and have always been happy with the results. Just tried their bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and it was GREAT! The folks in there are just wonderful and provide awesome service in person and over the phone, in addition to their delicious dishes at very reasonable prices. I’d recommend stopping in and stopping in often!...
