Probably the worst restaurant I've been to in a very long time. The rice and beans are god awful; definitely came from a microwave. The chicken quesadillas had three tiny pieces of chicken in them. I ordered it to share with my two year old, which we do every time we go to a Mexican place because they are enough, but it was two burned pieces with no cheese keeping them together, a few tiny chopped pieces of chicken, and nothing else inside. I could barely eat a thing , share it. I have no idea how people are eating here. Everyone hated their food. They overcharge for the quality they serve. Honestly, it wasn’t equal to even 1/4 of a chicken breast worth of chicken inside. We were there on 4/12 around 6:00 if anyone wants to check their cameras and see how disgusted and taken back I was by the food. Not to even mention check out what we were given as a meal with no actual food inside two quesadillas.
Edited to add my stomach has been sick most of the night after eating there. I wrote the review while in the restaurant I was so taken back by the small chopped dry chicken pieces and no filling they put into the meal. I hardly leave review for places and I couldn’t get wait to do so as soon as we got our food. What type of rice is that? Everything was out of a can and microwave - the food was done immediately and not warm or hot, but lukewarm. We had to take our daughter out to get food someplace else we didn’t feed it to her. Amazing Mexican - travel to Dose Jose in East Hanover or El Patron in Clinton. I’m so disgusted we paid what we paid for the food quantity and quality here- If it didn’t have people in it, I would have commented while we were there and asked for a refund … it was that bad. Check out how many reviews I leave - hardly any … tells you...
Read moreI am by no means the type of person to write a negative review to any place but this has to be done, I am outraged. I placed an order for pickup for my family 2 traditional taco platters one steak one chicken with an order of guac on the side for one of the orders, an order of loaded nachos, two steak burritos one without onions or tomatoes and a kids chicken quesadilla with french fries. Now that all came out to a grand total of $83 I felt was pretty steep but whatever it's gonna feed my family I hear good things about the food has great reviews so be it bring it on. Now this is where the outrage begins. I pick the food up drive it home to a table full of hungry mouths and upon opening the bag there were so many things wrong with my order. I got a steak quesadilla instead of a steak taco platters the chicken one was there. Both burritos were ground beef and not steak as ordered. And they both had tomatoes and onions in them. The kids what was supposed to be chicken quesadilla was a chicken burrito with extremely saugy ffs. The guacs were all brown in color. My order was completely screwed up and honestly disgusting. We all are what came in the order since the food was paid for and already in front of us but it was gross poor quality and extremely dissatisfied to say the least. To pay $83 for a meal like this left a very bad taste in our mouths the confusing part is I got the order repeated to me over the phone to make sure I was heard right when ordering and everything repeated was exactly what I ordered. So where the all the confusing come from? How could this happen? Never going back I called to complain and barely...
Read moreWe decided to go to Casa Luna on a Friday at 8 pm. It's located a bit away from Main Street, Somerville, and has parking nearby. There was about a 20 minute wait for outside but we were sat immediately inside. There was a sign that mentioned a dining time limit. Our waitress was prompt with our drink and appetizer order-- we had a selection of Jarritto's, a root beer, and a house sangria. It's important to note that they do not serve alcohol, but the restaurant is BYOB! We ordered the Made-To-Order Guacamole to start, which was served with a side of tomato salsa and chips. The guac taste fresh and par-mashed, but there was a half of an avocado that was untouched, sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The tomato salsa was fantastic, by far much better than the guacamole. The waitress put in our order while we were eating and it arrived quickly. We ordered a variety of dishes: Mole Enchiladas, Chicken Burrito, Chimichanga, Steak Fajitas.
The food was your standard fare, but the Mole was fantastic. We had the Fried Apple Sundae and the Cheesecake Chimichanga for dessert, both of which were by far the best part of the meal. Our waitress was really on top of our table, including clearing our not empty appetizer and drinks. I'm attributing this to the dining time-limit, but still not a great dining experience to have your sangria cleared when it was still a quarter full.
Come here for the ambiance, skip the app/mains, LOAD UP on...
