Royal Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Somerville

I am a self-proclaimed pizza snob and generally only enjoy NY-style pizza, but Royal Pizza & Subs makes an excellent pizza that rivals what I grew up eating. The sauce was perfectly seasoned, the sauce-to-cheese ratio was ideal, and the pepperoni was high quality. The medium-thickness crust was slightly different from NY-style pizza, but so delicious that I didn’t mind one bit! (It was a bit softer and chewier than what I’m used to, and I didn’t notice any semolina flour on the bottom.) My spouse doesn’t usually eat the crust, but we both finished every last bit of our slices! The pizza was a little greasy because of the generous portion of pepperoni, but who would complain about that?! Nothing a few napkins can’t fix!

The staff were super friendly and the service was great: our pizza was ready so quickly! The prices were also extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of food. I am so happy that this restaurant is so close to home: it’s going to become a regular place for us to eat at! We only tried the pepperoni pizza last night, but I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. If you’re in Somerville, don’t miss the chance...

I’ve gotten the meatless sub 3x now and the only reason I gave it a chance again is because the my sub wasn’t soggy the first time. It was actually really good. The subs have potential and are good when edible. I don’t understand why it’s soggy and disintegrating. Lettuce tomatoes onions peppers pickles mustard no mushrooms. Why is it soggy? It was sopping wet before I even opened it and couldn’t eat it yesterday. Can mgmt address this because it’s unfortunate that the subs are otherwise good. i would’ve given 1 star if they weren’t. Mind you I picked up the order yesterday to see if there was a difference. Either way there’s no reason a meatless sandwich should be as wet as theyve been

UPDATE: talked to the boss Marvin and got a proper sub. It was 💣💣💣

He said that these types of mistakes don’t happen when he’s working r he checks each sandwich before they’re wrapped. Thank you...

The two gentlemen were extremely friendly and helpful. I had got off the train stop and map had directions to take right so I got the bus 🚌 that dropped me and while talking 👄 on phone my mom said go into a business 😑 ask seeing I didn't see business number I was looking for. I asked about number and I was told after I had passed gas station ⛽ the street becomes Washington Street and to proceed to go back. These handsome 😍 friendly men were so nice I'd told them I'll kindly return, so I 😊 was happy but tired proceed to catch the train 🚆 home because of all days this week it was the hottest and the map was wrong went home relaxed 😌 the rest is history...besides I called the business that day before going and to no avail no one picked up the line but I went just the same.
