Absolutely incredible experience all around. We started off with the tofu and for someone who has never tried tofu this was perfection. It was lightly battered to give it a crunch and then had so many flavors that accompanied the rest of the dish. I'm hooked. After that we had the brussel sprouts and OMG, they were SO good. Every bite was packed full of flavor from the char on the outside, the crispy bacon, the freshly grated parmesan and the drizzle of balsamic on top, 100% worth the 18min wait. Next we had the kale salad and turkey wrap. The spicy kale salad with shrimp is something I'm still dreaming about. It was so fresh and vibrant with the most delicious soy-ginger dressing. It also wasn't super spicy (I'm a wimp and it was totally fine). Last but not least the turkey wrap. This was so fresh and was really nice and light, also packed full of flavor with the smoked turkey, avocado and chipotle aioli. Yes we had leftovers and everything was almost just as good the next day. I don't want to forget to mention the pomegranate spritz and iced tea. A very well balanced cocktail that was perfect for lunch. The iced tea though...there's just something about it that's delicious AND they give you a homemade lemon simple syrup with it. Try it! The patio is adorable full of beautiful flowers and greenery. The staff was so friendly and attentive. You can tell everything was carefully thought out and had a purpose. It's such a hidden gem and I can not...
Read moreMy husband and I had dinner at The Mill, a lovely restaurant situated creekside with a charming old Water Mill in a peaceful/tranquil wooded setting at Jack London Village in Glen Ellen. We were very warmly welcomed by the Owners, Dana and Sanjeev. By the time we left the restaurant, we felt like we were family. We started with Cucumber Water and a glass of White Wine Sangria and it was comprised of fresh peaches, orange, sliced strawberries, fresh mint, and edible colorful flowers. It was not only extremely tasty, but also quite beautiful to look at. My husband had a Wagyu Steak Burger which was comprised of smoked applewood bacon, cheddar cheese and caramelized onion. He ordered it medium rare and it came out just as he had ordered it. The french fries were also excellent! I enjoyed the Masala Potato Patties with red lentil-quinoa salad, crisp mixed vegetables and tomato chili crack and the Indian spices, flavors and presentation were amazing and impressive - a terrific entree that we had never seen before! For dessert, we had fresh grilled peaches with vanilla bean ice cream served with a delicious blueberry sauce. The Outstanding Hospitality, Great Service, Wonderful Presentation and Delicious Food will most definitely have...

The Mill at Glen Ellen offers a superior dining experience to those passing through Sonoma County. The staff obsesses over making sure your needs are met and care deeply about the quality of your dining experience. I sat outside on the patio and I was transported to a peaceful place. The environment lets you feel tucked away as if you’re in your own private sanctuary in the woods. The entire time while outside I could hear the subtle sound of water from a nearby creek.
I’d highly advise making reservations. Restaurants all over Sonoma County tend to fill up fast, especially on weekends.
As for the food, I ordered one of the vegan options on the menu. The food was good, was plated beautifully, and felt very health conscious. I enjoyed my meal, but felt it was lacking technique given the price point and price comparable options at other restaurants. My partner did not order a vegan option and loved his meal. This makes me suspect the same level of technique and possible flavor isn’t invested into the vegan options.
If you’re looking for a stunning venue to share a meal with friends or loved ones whilst in wine country I’d definitely give The Mill a try, especially on the patio (weather...
