Mandy's Breakfast House — Restaurant in Sonora

Worst dining experience ever. We placed our order. When our food arrived everyone got what they ordered except one. The plate was supposed to be a mushroom Swiss burger with bacon. What he tried to serve was a burger with garlic Swiss and bacon. I politely explained that is not what I ordered. His response was they were out of mushrooms. I asked for a bacon Swiss burger with no garlic. After 15 minutes waiting patiently the server returned apologetic about the wait. I asked why was it taking so long to get. His response was I had to wait for all the rest of the orders to be cooked before they could make mine they could not expedite it to the front after they messed up my order from the get go. My girlfriend gave me half her French dip. That had no flavor at all. Reminded me of bad hospital food. Finally once everyone at our table finished their food the server returned with a a plate of food that was completely wrong again. The hamburger had American cheese not Swiss. At that point I refused the wrong order a second time and left the restaurant quietly. When the rest of my party met me outside they informed me that I was not welcome back. As if I would waist my time with terrible food that I would not feed to my dog. I would never expose my friends or family to such a incompetent wait and...

My husband and I just moved to the area and this place came highly recommended by friends (one who's a chef) and residents of the area.

Mandy's did not disappoint! We've been a handful of times for breakfast and every dish has been amazing. I was especially impressed with the fruit cup side dish. I know - what's the big deal about fruit? I expected the usual restaurant array: honeydew, cantaloupe, maybe some pineapple and a slice of strawberry if I was lucky. Not at Mandy's! My fruit cup was graced with kiwi, watermelon, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, plus the expected cantaloupe and pineapple. On top of the amazing cornucopia of fruit, it was clear that it wasn't just spooned willy-nilly into a bowl, but was carefully arranged. The simple fact that they took such care with a fruit cup highlights just how much care goes into each meal. I've had several of their eggs benedict options, as well as a traditional eggs and bacon breakfast, and have never been disappointed.

With exceptional food and great service, the place is never empty. That being said, the most we've ever had to wait for a table is 15 minutes.

We are so glad we stopped here. First impression, witnessing the hosts wiping down the tables including all the condiment containers and moving the caddy around to wipe underneath was very appreciated.

Elora then sat us at our table and was helpful in promptly taking and fulfilling our drink orders. Her attentiveness to our and other guest needs through our visit was amazing!

Her co-host Sierra was being equally attentive, friendly, and efficient as she moved around the dining room, minding all the details that needed attention.

Brenda, our server, was very pleasant and helpful in curtailing my meal to meet my unique desires for something unique as she recommended her favorite skillet plate wrapped up in a tortilla. (I love my food tortilla wrapped).

From entry to exit, our experience was a breath of fresh air, and we will be adding mandy's to our list of places to stop when road tripping.
