Columbia Frosty — Restaurant in Sonora

It's a basic frosty, nothing else. Prices are fairly high, place is always understaffed and food is nothing special.

Dont plant on going any time near lunch hour unless you can afford to wait 45mins or more for a basic burger and fries.

I got there before the lunch rush put in my order and then was overlooked for 45mins while they served shakes to everyone and their brother who came it after me. I was getting ready to walk out without my food because I had burned my entire lunch break waiting when my order when it finally was given to me. I had to walk out and eat in the car on the way back to work and I get to find out my order wasn't even made correctly after all that waiting.

If you have tons of time to kill or your stuck in columbia and really want a burger it's an okay place to go. Otherwise go across the parking lot to the market and deli and get something there, better food, quicker service and more choices. Or go to Saint Charles for some of the best pizza you'll ever have. Likely won't take any longer than waiting for a burger at the frosty...

I had a weird experience at Columbia Frosty a few months back and have stewed on the day since then.

I ordered the same Gold Rush burger I always get. When the burger arrived the server brought me a burger with only meat, cheese and bun. I took the burger back to the counter and the girl running the register took the burger but then brought it back saying "you already touched the food" I let her know I did not order this item. She then brought the burger back to my table, left and then returned with a side of lettuce, tomato etc.

Meanwhile the owner was in the back kitchen and saw what was going on. I gave up and left the food, did not complain and walked out of the building. At my car the owner showed up and apologized and offered me a dessert not a refund. So I left not eating, out my money and no refund or voucher and an offer for a frosty cone but no lunch. I have thought about going back but can't bring myself to do so. If you go to eat be sure to speak clearly, slowly and using simple words and be sure your server...

I can’t believe how rude the “owner/cook” was at this establishment. I have been here many times and have spent a lot of money at this location. I had recommended to my friend that we stop there on our way home for a yummy fast easy lunch . Not only did it take over 40 minutes to get our food It was made wrong and the cook/owner refused to fix it. They also submerged the chili burger in about 2 pounds of chili literally It was enough to make 6 chili cheese fries ) the burger underneath all the chili was truly not edible and the actual 12$ burger had to be thrown out and I made frozen fries instead . Very unprofessional and I will not be returning neither will my friend as her daughter was in tears (it was for an 8 year old little girl) He also proceeded to comment that we should know if we’re smart parents to read the menu. Again if you’re looking for a good fast lunch with decent customer service...
