Coffee Spot Cafe — Restaurant in South Bend

Never rely on them for private jet catering. My company requested a quote for private jet catering. First of all, it took us days to receive a response. Even then, it's only because I called them repeatedly asking for it. Then, when they did reply, they informed us that they don't deliver on Sundays... which, how are you even in the industry if you don't deliver on Sundays? Then, when we presented the quote to our passengers, and they approved the order, we reached back out to the Coffee Spot Team for confirmation and they said they would send confirmation shortly for delivery the night before. Then someone came back and said "We cannot confirm due to staff and food shortages. Take care!" I'm sorry, what? We requested a Fruit Platter and a Veggie Platter. Last I checked, South Bend is not running out of Fruit and Vegetables. Garbage operation. Then they had the nerve to tell us "We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will consider us in the future." Seriously? You just screwed us over and really think you'll get another chance? Visiting from out of state and wanted and coffee. I'm not a fan of franchise coffee shops, so I was looking for a local spot...

Found via GPS, Coffee Spot Cafe, and I figured I'd give it a try. Also, my sister recommended them.

I didn't know exactly what I wanted other than a hot latte that wasn't too sweet but had cinnamon. The lady helping me was like, "I got you!" (sorry, I forgot her name).

A few moments later, she brought the coffee to me and was like, "Give it a try."

She managed to come up with something custom for me, and it was AMAZINGLY SPECIAL, and I felt it in my soul with the first sip! 😃👏🙌

Somehow, she knew exactly what I wanted in a hot coffee. Maybe it was just luck, or maybe she just knows what she's doing and can read her customers well.

Either way, if you're looking for great service and atmosphere, do NOT pass up this coffee shop. They also have pastries and a lunch menu. I'll definitely go back for coffee and give lunch a try.

As someone who absolutely loves coffee and supporting family owned businesses, I was so disappointed. I wanted to like this place so much. I have a cup of coffee almost every morning and I've tried probably 100 places in My life and never once have a had to have someone discard my coffee because it was so bad. I legitimately feel like I would've gotten sick If I drank the latte because it tasted like cleaning supply. I've worked at 2 coffee shops in my life and I know what espresso tastes like, it shouldn't taste like I'm drinking febreeze. I tried to give them another chance and asked if I could trade my drink that had one sip out of it for a cold brew and I was told no I'd have to pay. I already paid 30$ for a hard cookie, cold sandwhich, and 2 lattes that neither me nor my roomate Liked. I had her throw away the full lattes for me. No refund offered, trading it out was forbidden. Terrible taste and terrible customer service...
