I don't normally write restaurant reviews. I only think it's really justifiable if something goes REALLY wrong. I mean, this is peoples' livelihoods we're talking about here. Well, tonight something went really wrong.
We ordered two pizzas online from this Pizza Hut. It went smoothly. The website told us it would be about 45 minutes, even though we only live a mile away from the place. Sure. Fine. There were doing us a favor bringing it to us since it was snowy and the roads were terrible, so we didn't mind waiting.
An hour and a half later, our pizza finally arrived. To his credit, the pizza delivery guy was very professional and apologetic. He should probably be promoted to manager of this place. It was really late in arriving, but ya know what, no big deal. Things happen. No big deal.
We open the pizzas up, by that point we were starving, and we discover that the orders were completely wrong. I'm not talking wrong as in they forgot one of the toppings. I'm talking wrong, as in, they gave us someone else's order entirely. We're so laid back that normally, we would probably just eat that pizza without a fuss, but seeing as how both pizzas were covered in pepperoni, this wasn't an option as vegetarians. So we gave them to the neighbors.
So we call the pizza hut back to tell them the situation. They apologize and explain that our order will be remade and sent out immediately.
Another hour goes by. We call again, and ask what the hold up is. They tell us the pizzas were made and sent out and that they'll call us back right away when they figure it out. They never call us back. We never get any pizza. So either they were lying to us about our order being remade, or the pizzas are just sitting in some guys trunk, which is unlikely.
Finally, four hours after the initial order was placed, we just called to cancel our order and ask for a refund. A girl answered, and after explaining the entire situation to her, she just puts the phone down and gives it to who turned out to be the guy that spoke to us before and told us the pizzas were being remade. The first thing he tells us is that 'sorry we're closed right now.' Then he tells us that if we want a refund we'll have to come into the store the following day to speak with their manager. So basically, you fail to make a small pizza delivery two miles away over the course of FOUR HOURS, and you're going to make me come into the store to beg for my money back?? Unbelievable.
NEVER EVER order pizza from here. Total allotted time: four hours and no pizza. This place doesn't even deserve a single star. They're dishonest, inefficient doesn't even begin to describe how slow their service is, and worst of all, they're unwilling to help or go out of their way even when they've completely ruined your evening. EXCEPT for the delivery guy. The delivery guy was great. Slightly older white guy, mustache, glasses...if any manager is reading this, GIVE THIS...
Read moreWorst overall experience I have ever had with a chain restaurant. Having already given up on delivery because of messed up orders, I decided to order pick-up. My last order was incorrect, so I was given a credit for it. I ordered my pizza well-done because for my last order it was severely undercooked and inedible. When I arrived at the store I was greeted with glances as employees struggled to fix two other messed up orders in front of me due a manager walking out on his shift. I showed up a few minutes after the time I was given for my order and I noticed what looked like mine sitting in the warmer with the box lid part open. I continued to wait while the other customers asked for employee names which the workers wouldn't give. I added a side of pizza sauce that took five minutes for a very large and exhausted individual to retrieve. Finally, I got my food and left, only to discover, at home, that my pizza was again way undercooked! The dough was light and still rubbery in places, even after asking for well-done. I called the store to speak with the GM. The phone was placed on the counter on my second attempt to speak with someone. I made the mistake of using speakerphone on my cell, because in the span of a less than a minute the "f" word and others flew out of employee's mouths several times while my 3 year old was next to me. I finally spoke with the GM, who promised to call me back. She has not called back as of this post. I am now seeking a District Manager who can hopefully fix this place. I just want what I ordered to be done right and somewhat on time. Not too much to...
Read moreThis is by far the worst Pizza Hut that I've ever been to! I used to order from them quite frequently until they started delivering the wrong pizzas to my home. The 1st time I called to let them know about their mistake, they gave me a credit. Unfortunately I had to call them 2 other times and the had the nerve to tell me that they didn't believe me. I asked them to deliver the correct pizza and I would return the one I received by mistake and they refused. Instead I was told that I needed to bring the pizzas back myself.. (What was the point of delivery then?) At the time I was watching my disabled grandson which made it very difficult for me to load him up and drive up there but I did anyway, only to be yelled at by the manager and told that people call in all the time trying to get a free pizza and I guess I got lumped into that category. I ended up getting my pizza and giving back the ones they made by mistake just to prove it to them. Not only did I get the correct pizzas but also a credit. Irregardless of all of that I still had to take my disabled grandson out in the cold of winter and get humiliated by being yelled at by the manager. This place is a joke and the people that work there who are supposed to fix a situation like this, we're completely unprofessional. I will never go to another pizza Hut again.. Hello Papa John's! They love me at papa John's & have never screwed up on even 1 of...
