Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in South Bend

Checked into the waitlist at 6. It said our table would be ready in an hour and we got to the restaurant at 6:50. Checked in and let them know there would be 8 of us. I told the manager, Courtney this. She let me know that they only do tables of 6 and that we would have to sit at separate tables. The table directly behind her sat 8 so I let her know that we would like that table. She let me know it would be a 2.5 hour wait to sit at that table or a similar table. I said either we could sit at that table or if two tables become close to each other then we would prefer to sit as close together as possible. After waiting an hour and a half outside in the cold, I checked on the reservation and she said our table was ready. Took our party of 8 to a table for 6. I explained how a half an hour before I spoke with Courtney and she let me know they would at least try to seat 8 of us but she never made note of my request. Very unprofessional for a manager. The 8 of us stood around the table and Courtney came and two of our party had to sit halfway across them bar. Tried speaking to a different manager and she said they don’t do parties of 8. There were literally two parties of 8 seated at two tables. Don’t claim to not be able to seat parties of 8 when there are tables that were currently seating 8. After being seated for 5 minutes at two different tables, the table that seats 8 was available so we asked to be seated at that table after our awful experience and they said they were seating someone else at the table. After waiting almost two hours and not accommodating our requests, Sierra could have at least sat our party together as we repeatedly requested but they “don’t do 8 tops”. About to get our food and the larger table is still empty. Very upset with the service tonight. It’s my mother’s birthday and I couldn’t even sit with her tonight....

I was so disappointed! I was given two $50 gift cards so I decided to take my family there for dinner. all four of us order steaks and I ordered mine medium rare when they arrived at the table my steak was well done and my server even noticed and commented that it was well done and and not medium rare. She said that she would have it remade and brought back to me ASAP so I ended up waiting and waiting and waiting and no one came back to my table. the rest of my family was completely done eating before my waitress came back to the table and asked me where my steak was so I kindly said to her that I didn’t know where my steak was and you as my server should know where it’s at And should not be asking me!!! she then proceeded to tell me they were supposed to bring it out to me when it was done so I nicely said to her that it should be her responsibility to make sure that I have my food. when They finally did bring me my steak we had been there for an hour and a half and the rest of my family had been done eating for almost 30 minutes and we’re ready to leave she asked me if I wanted a box to take it home and I was not even offered a discount and not even an apology I had heard so many good things about Texas Roadhouse but i must say this was one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had at a restaurant!! I will not be returning to Texas Roadhouse ever again. If they would have handled the situation differently then I would definitely go back but it was obvious that they didn’t care. Maybe I should have been rude and made a scene but I had my family with me and it’s not like me to be that type of person. I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and hoping they would do the right thing but obviously they did not. ...

Tonight on 4/21/2023 I came into the restaurant with two friends and my friends daughter. Right away we were greeted by LT the manager on duty came over to introduce himself. Our sever Delaney I hope I spelled that correctly came over and was super friendly and an amazing smile and took out drink orders. Drinks came super fast and with great customer service. We ordered appetizers and our entrees. Delaney brought us our appetizers fast as well and refilled our drinks for us. Not soon after we got our entrees. Oh and we requested a small cup of pickles for my friends daughter cause she loves her pickles lol and was more than happy to bring us them. It put the biggest smile on her face. Not soon after we requested to speak with LT the manager to compliment his server for doing so an amazing job. I hav two say for a Friday night and it being as busy as it was our service was 💯 top notch. He thanked us for letting him know how well his server was doing. We also let Delaney know how great her service was and that we will return just because of her great service. Thank you so much for your great customer Service Delaney. Also I have to mention Bree as well, I remembered her from my last visit and had her as a server and she was also phenomenal and remembered me as well. So because of these to amazing servers that Texas Roadhouse has there I will definitely be returning just because they are both so amazing. Great job in hiring two of the greatest severs...
