Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in South Bend

2 Stars because the food was good, no complaints there, but sevice was atypical to the service I'm used to at Buffalo Wild Wings locations. Went in, got seated nearly immediately since the restaurant wasn't very busy and even a bit slow, order taken right away and drinks brought pretty fast. But then we waited, 40+ min for the following 5 Wild Wibgs, 5 Wings Mango Habenero, 5 Wings Garlic Parmesian, 5 Wings Sweet BBQ, 5 Wings Teriyaki, potato wedges, carrots and some other vegetables.. Tables around us got their orders before us despite arriving nearly 15 min after us, receiving their food 10 min after being seated. -Okay, thats fine, maybe the chef taking care of our order is taking a bit since we have lots of different types of Wings - after about 35 min, we got a call about a family emergency we needed to attend to so we asked if we could get our order to go and the check. Waited some more, and then a little more, and then we asked our waitress how long it could potentially take since we did have to leave promptly. She says she'll check, at this point we're a bit in a rush, not much impatience but more that we really do have to go to this situation at home, especially since we live a few hours away in Illinois. After being brought our food, paying the bill and tipping, we left and are now on the road home when we realized that we are still missing our sides. Even after all the patience and waiting we couldn't receive the food we paid for. Will never visit this location again. Staff is rude and manager is worse. Came in, no one greeted us, stood and waited. Eventually sat along the wall. Employees behind door to kitchen noticed us and continued chatting. After about 4 minutes someone came out (after another family walked in) and asked if we had been helped. We said that we had not and they asked how many. We said 6, they said ok and grabbed menus. We were taken to a 4 seat table. My wife said, that there was 6 of us, the employee said, yeah, due to covid we can't do big tables. She asked if we could pull another table over or just wait for a booth. The employee took us over to another 4 seater and right next to it was other tables that are not in use. My wife asked if we could pull the other table over and not try to cram the six of us to a 4 person table, the employee seemed frustrated and said "fine" and walked away. We pulled the table a couple feet over and moved the seats and finally sat down. Next the manager walks over and says we cannot pull tables together "due to covid" - we said we are not closer to any other table maintaining the 6 feet of distance from other tables and the other employee put us there.. We said we could wait for a booth or put another table together and she put us at the table next to other tables. The manager said that they cannot do that. WHAT?!?! We went around 2:30PM after finding out Texas roadhouse didn't open til 3PM thinking we would give the new place near walmart a try... we should have waited the half hour in the 20 degrees outside in Texas Roadhouses parking lot. the service was disgraceful. we got seated quickly, but after that we sat there... and sat there... and sat there... all the while listening to the employees in the back laughing and carrying on having a good time or whatever. finally after 20 minutes someone came and said simply 'what do you want to drink' we gave our order and i tried to say 'and we are ready to order too' but she walked away from us. 15 more minutes and our drinks came and we ordered. i have never felt such a cold reception from a waitress! after 10 minutes we got our appetizer which was pretty good (fried mushrooms) then 20 minutes later we got our food. my burger was cold, my girls chicken strips were lukewarm at best, and the fries were underdone and frigid in the center! when the food came i was ready for a refill, but she never even noticed. i had to walk up to the hostess and ask for one. we were the ONLY customers in the place so this was just INEXCUSABLE SERVICE AND FOOD QUALITY! i will NEVER go back. if they offered me free meals i would REFUSE, it was that bad! they need some MAJOR work on personnel staffing the place.
