Do you like chewing on leather? If so, change this to 5-stars.
I arrived in the drive-thru in the afternoon. In that off-time between lunch and dinner. I guess it was my fault for ordering a burger at this time. When I got to the window, I was told, "It will be a couple minutes on your hamburg--oh never mind, we have it right here." Now this is a guess, but I imagine the griller in the back at first decided that he couldn't serve this meat, but after he though about it, "Screw it." So I got it. The meat was as dry leather. Under a heat lamp or something for hours.
Now, let me tell you about my dog, Max. An awesome lab who will eat anything--or so i thought. Labs are like a canine-goat; I have seen him eating and enjoying garden dirt and cat feces among many other things. I gave him this burger thinking it shouldn't go to waste. He refused it! I mean, he enjoyed eating the bun, but refused the patty even when I gave it to him again. I think that is the most damning part, my dog wouldn't eat it.
I thought to myself, "Everyone must have off-days where they sell inedible food to people." I submitted an online communication thinking that the company would love to know about this to get better. Well, I got no reply, so I can only imagine they are OK with this, so I wanted let you all know what to expect on "off-days."
Note that the picture of the patty attached is after I tried a few times to give it to my dog. The hair is his fault, the...
Read moreCulver's is top-tier in the fast food game. As soon as you walk in, it is a different experience. Clean, cozy, friendly. The signs of good management and employees that are paid and treated well-enough to care.
The menu is what you expect out of a burger joint. Mostly sandwiches. Single, double, and triples. Whether you're going for beef, chicken, or fish, it's all freshly prepared and made to order. I would imagine most of the ingredients are refrigerated, at most.
Being based out of Wisconsin, Culver's is well-known for their cheese curds and frozen custard. I have yet to try the custard, but the curds are fantastic.
The prices are also pretty fair as well. Most of the sandwiches are around $4.00-$6.00, with meals usually being about two bucks more. At this point, you're paying just as much at McDonald's for a quarter of the quality, and we all know how troublesome Mickey D's can be with getting simple orders right sometimes.
The nice thing is that Culver's also gives out tons of coupons locally, in the mail, often giving you discounts or even two sandwiches for the price of one.
In my honest opinion, I think Culver's burgers are better than Five Guy's, which might be controversial to some, but considering they're the price difference, Five Guy's is almost in the "novelty" food category at this point.
Highly...
Read moreI am writing to express my profound disappointment with the significant decline in both customer service and food quality at the Culver's location on Michigan Street. As a loyal patron since its opening, I have observed a considerable deterioration over the years, which prompted me to visit the Indiana 933 or Niles locations instead to enjoy the quality I had come to expect from Culver's.
On this occasion, I decided to visit the Michigan Street restaurant again. Regrettably, the burger I received was excessively greasy, flattened, and unacceptably crunchy. Despite waiting over 20 minutes for my order as a dine-in customer, when I inquired about a replacement, the cashier questioned what was wrong with it, and another 20 minutes elapsed without a resolution. My child was left without a meal, and no refund was offered.
Given these experiences, I respectfully request that Culver's upper management review the camera footage and consider retraining or replacing the current staff. Ensuring that competent, customer-oriented, and professional individuals are employed at this location is crucial. Until such measures are taken, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone, despite living nearby. The fact that I drive all the way to Niles for a satisfactory Culver's burger...
