This place USED to be great. Food was correct, always fresh and delicious. Service was always iffy but the last year they have Driven themselves right into the ground. The last dozen orders we have gotten for take out take forever, which is fine when they are busy, however it is a promise something will be wrong, or missing, or usually both. Sauces, soups, sides. Something will be missing. Always great to get home after the 2 hour wait and have to drive back for your missing items. The manager out front has the absolute worst attitude and zero customer service skills, she would make a better DMV employee. It’s awful. She might offer you a free desert with Zero apology which is fine but I would rather just have my order correct the first time. We kept ordering because with Covid and them being busy we understood things happen, but every single time is just a lack of care at this point. The last order we got was one single COLD turkey sandwich, nothing cooked, nothing special. The online system said it would be an hour for a cold sandwich and salad, which is crazy but fine. Showed up after an hour and it still wasn’t ready. The cold sandwich and salad was not ready after an hour. Waited another 30 minutes in the car and still nothing. Finally asked for a refund and suddenly a sandwich appeared. Got home and yup, no salad that was ordered. At this point it just didn’t matter anymore. It’s clear the owner has given up, let’s his staff do whatever with no oversight, a terrible front manager give everyone her condescending attitude and zero quality control is left. Fogartys used to be the place to go but at this point you should skip it, find another place, maybe if they see the decline in sales they will think about actually running the business again.

And it’s super clear they try to burry bad reviews under fake google accounts leaving 5 stars and no written text. You will probably find this review under just that.

I absolutely love Fogarty's and I am there enough that the waitresses know me. But this past visit left a very bad taste in my mouth. I purchased a dinner and was asked what two sides I would like with my meal. I was thinking about getting the chowder and the waitress suggested I try the lobster stew. I asked if it came with the meal and she said yes so I ordered it. The bill came and the meal was priced $8 more than the menu stated. When I asked why, the waitress told me there was a charge for chowders and the stew. I told her I asked if it came with the meal for that very reason and she told me, "TECHNICALLY, it does come with the meal. We are just charging upcharges for it. We're trying to get the word out about it." You know how you can get the word out about it? INFORM the person when they ask if it comes with the meal that there is an EIGHT dollar surcharge. The bill didn't even state it. It just said Chicken Tender Meal: $24.99. And it is not mentioned at all on the menu. The manager came over and didn't even apologize. She angrily stated that it was LOBSTER, what did I expect for LOBSTER. I told her that I asked the waitress if it came with the meal and she never told me about the extra charge. The manager didn't even apologize. She just said that it was extra and had been for a while. Then she asked me how much I expected to pay for lobster and actually haggled with me. The waitress came over and told me she took a little more than half off of the surcharge and expected me to be happy with that. I don't appreciate how I was treated. Especially since the manager knows me and knows I have never complained about a thing before in my life. It makes me not want to go back there again. As a manager, being rude to me is something that should never be done, especially since I never once...

The hostess was nice. We ordered our food and waited no less than 45 minutes for our food. At this point we asked the server about our food and his reply was rude. He told us that takeout was really busy and that takeout was their most important part of their business. Unfortunately, that is not my problem and a poor excuse for the time it took to get out our food. Then the server said something else that was rude. He was not very friendly and probably shouldn't be working with the public. Additionally, the server avoided our table during our extremely long wait and not did ask us if we wanted anything while we waited. Our drinks were empty and we were not asked if we wanted any more drinks. Finally, we couldn't wait and went to the manager. The manager was nice and offered us a free dessert. She said the wait was extremely long, but our food was on the way out. The server never apologized for being rude or for the long wait, nor did the server tell us that wait would be so long, or check in with us during the entire time. These are things every server should always do. Overall the service was horrible. When the food came out it was average and nothing special. The reason I gave this place one star is because of the rudeness of our server. I understand things happen and on occasions food takes a long time to come it. That is okay and the server should alert their costumes to that and offer them something after nearly an hour wait. Like maybe say, would you like some bread? Or grab them something to snack on. The thing that is not excusable to me is the attitude of our server. Those are things that can be controlled. Needless to say we will never go back and we will not recommend this place to our family...

The atmosphere: The smell as we entered was enticing and a bright clean space. We were seated with no wait by friendly hostess. The waitress was at our table shortly after and very friendly as well. The food: starting with delicious warm dinner rolls with a nice crispy crust. The coffee was decent, not good not bad. We both ordered 2 different style of burgers and they were incredible. Fries and onion rings were pretty greasy, but clean. The cost: lunch for 2 cost about $30 plus tip. Well worth the quality of food and service we received. The verdict: I would absolutely go back, and given the limited options in Rollinsford/Berwick area, this is an easy pick.

We went to Fogartys on a wet and somewhat icy Thursday after going another place (in Dover) which was closing early from being slow. Fogartys was wonderful, not crowded and open! The chicken tenders were perfectly fried and crispy tender, onion rings yummy, my side salad fresh and pretty. Our waitress was attentive, kind and patient with my garlic allergy; returning several times to the kitchen to ask or look up ingredients. I had a fried chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese and it was awesome. Brought dessert home, saving for later, tonight's special, kahlua cheesecake.

This was my 1st visit. Parking is limited. Service was polite and efficient. The decor is a bit dated but homey. The vibe is really that of a family restaurant that people visit for many years. I had a very nice club sandwich with ham and the onion rings. The onion rings were nice, not greasy. The ham on the club wasn't like any deli ham I'd had before and was tasty. I love the fact that they bake their own fluffy dinner rolls. For dessert I had a chocolate cream pie that could only be improved with a bit more whipped cream. I will definitely be back.
