I stopped by the Burger King in South Boston on my way to Danville to make a rest room break and get a cone of ice cream. The lady who waited on me was obvious (to me) a new employee. When I ordered a cone of vanilla ice cream, she immediately began to apologize because, as she stated; "I cannot make the cones right. I just cannot do them good." And she can't I got maybe a half serving of ice cream. But I don't blame her. I don't believe she has received the proper training of a new employee. Not only was she outwardly frightened about my ice cream cone, she was nervous about taking the order of the lady behind me. Now this lady was by herself for the drive thru and the walk-in customers. Just with my short interaction with her, I don't see her staying for any time at BK. And I dont blame her!! She probably got the minimum orientation and then put straight to work! After fixing the pricing issue I received my purchase with no apology, no thank you, no smile. I didn't know if they were done because they left the window and continued like I wasn't there.
I loudly said "Thank you!" and drove off. A mile pass the store I found out my drink order was wrong. Deliberate? I don't know...but I WILL NOT BE RETURNING...EVER...no matter how hungry I am. I specifically drove there, 21 miles, because that Burger King was the nearest establishment during my travel.
I do not patronize establishments where my dollar is valued over my customer service...and no...this had nothing to do with the color of my skin...this had everything to do with poor training and...
Read moreThis used to be the only local burger restaurant I would eat at. After not getting my breakfast, no money returned, and a manager being non-responsive on a call, I have not returned. I've never had such a poor experience with this company. They literally stole my money. I placed a breakfast order in the drive-thru, paid for it, and then was told none of the items were available. I asked for a refund and they couldn't seem to process it. I was told to come back. I called instead and requested a manager. The female said she was the manager and I told her the situation. 3 minutes of silence followed. I hung up and haven't been back since. I love the food from BK but this just sent me to McDonald's.
