SEE PHOTOS: Do not buy a birthday cake from here if youâre expecting to receive whatâs advertised! See photos of what I ordered versus what I picked up. No airbrushing, the cake is not squared before decorating... it bulges out on the sides, they piped a bunch of stringy grass which is not on the advertised cake, the piping on the bottom of the cake is red... not pink, there are no trees piped onto our cake, the icing has not been smoothed, the list goes on! The store associate (who I believe is the manager) told me that it looks exactly the same to her. I asked her who decorated this cake and she said, âThereâs nothing I can do, the âcake ladyâ did it.â So this wasnât even decorated in their store? Was it even done by a licensed company or individual? For all I know, this could have been done by this ladyâs 9 year old daughter... sure looks that way!
Iâm extremely disappointed that this amateur level of cake decorating is coming from such a well known company as Baskin Robbins. Being a graduate of a cake decorating academy in London, I donât appreciate this store insulting my intelligence by trying to tell me that these cakes look âexactly the sameâ. Being a professional cake decorator myself, I could go into more detail about how this cake is not up to par with basic cake decorating techniques, let alone professional standards. But the photos speak for themselves; it was done by an amateur and it looks like a RUSH JOB... not done by someone who should be decorating $65 birthday cakes. Yes, this cake was $65!!!
I asked for a manager, but was told there âwas no managerâ. Iâve called corporate to handle this. If it wasnât my daughters birthday, I would NOT have accepted this and demanded a full refund. I do however expect a partial refund because this is NOT as described!
If you arenât going to provide the customer with whatâs pictured, donât sell custom cakes!! My cake should look just like the picture if Iâm paying that much! If you couldnât do that, you shouldnât have...
Read moreI had the displeasure of visiting yesterday. I have been going here for years. Unfortunately, last night I had to make the acquaintance of Jasmin (sp). My order was taken with no issues... I thought. Much to my dismay upon getting my order, my cone was wrong. A guy who was very sweet apologized. I offered to just keep it, but they add the scoop I wanted to make it easier and I just pay the difference. He wanted to charge me the full price of a single scoop which was not fair since they made the mistake and it would have been less for the 3 scoop. I do not think he knew the "math" on what he said I should pay. He went to get Jasmin for help with how to handle the charge. Keep in mind the order was messed up from their end. Jasmin did the opposite of what I requested and handled things as she saw fit. I let her know again what I wanted. She fixed the cone and then ran my card again (I thought for the correct difference). She charged me for the full order. So I was charged $17 approximately the first time and a little over $18 the second. Jasmin refunded the money for the first receipt. In her haste to get me "done" she failed to give my credit card back. (This is all while I have two children in the car, torrential rains-literally, while TRYING to enjoy my ice cream.) I had to drive back through the line to get my card for her to give me a sarcastic and nasty "You're welcome". I parked and came in with hopes to speak with a manager. Much to my dismay Jasmin was it, not the manager but the person with whom I had to contend. Jasmin was very condescending and dismissive as I explained to her that the customer service was not up to par, and that it was wrong that I endured any of that due to their mistake and that there was a way to handle that...a better way. The ice cream was not the issue. The service was...or lack thereof. Jasmin exemplified the failing customer service that resonates this day and age through nearly every sector of business. I will go back and just hope she is...
Read moreThis location deserves a negative 10. Service is slow, therefore backed up. The manager, ShirishSJ, has an awful attitude... very disrespectful. She's working the drive through, but there is a communication barrier. It doesn't help that she becomes frustrating and insulting, by over talking and cutting you off. I've frequented this location in the past for the 3 scoop sundae, which is usually regular serving sizes (adult scoops). Today the manager states the scoops are child size, when asked to see a sample of "child size" she refused, stating she has other customers. I asked when the change occurred, she said it's not a change. So I ask... the scoops are the same as before? To which she replies yes, but then reverts back to saying "child size." So which is it? We went ahead and ordered thinking it would be the norm, as she states this is not a change. Well low and behold.... BE AWARE... they are now serving child portions for the same adult prices. $15 for children sundaes served with a hefty dose of attitude. She interrupted and spoke over my mother. When I corrected her poor behavior she had the nerve to tell me not to be rude to her, to which I introduced her to rude. If you are stressed dealing with the public hire more staff. Ice cream purchases are usually fun times, but this was an epic disappointment. After being a loyal customer to this location for many years, I am gladly taking my business elsewhere and suggest you do the same. The service and servings are disappointing and sad. And this was at the hand of the manager. Probably can't get any lower. Shirish needs customer service training. Perhaps close the location if you have to attack customers and...
