KFC — Restaurant in South Carolina

Tonight my wife and I decided to use our coupons we got in the mail for KFC. It was a 8pc Meal with 2 sides and biscuits coupon for $16. I went through the drive thru in Moncks Corner South Carolina to place my order. Upon pulling up to the speaker the lady Said welcome to kfc order when you're ready. i could barely hear anything she said for the loud unprofessional cussing and yelling going on in the kitchen. So i told her i had a coupon and what it was for and that i wanted the 8 pc crispy with mashed potatoes and gravy and potatoe wedges. i get to the window and pay and she told me they didn't have enough for what i ordered and if i would like them to make up the difference with regular chicken. so i said sure thats fine and waited there for my food. I was handed my bag and the window closed. i pulled into a parking spot to check my order because you can't go to a fast food restraunt anymore and have them get your order correct the first time anymore. So to my not surpirsed eyes i found a big thing of Cole slaw in my bag and i didn't think to open the chicken bucket because i thought they had enoigh sense to get that part right. So i go inside and tell them they messed up and charged me for cole slaw instead mashed potatoes and they gave me the mashed potatoes and cole slaw. well if the place didn't sound like the remake of a gangster film in new york inside there maybe she could hear. So i drove 15 minutes HOME to. When i arrived home i went inside and got the food out the bag and yet to my unsurprised eyes i opened the chicken and every piece of chicken was a WING and 2 thighs. i was given 10 pieces of chicken instead of the 8. i didn't get any breast or any legs. I WILL NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE GO BACK TO ANOTHER KFC FOR AS LONG AS I AM ALIVE!! And yet to think this is all the sloppy headed unprofessional people who want and demand $15 an hour but they have 1 job to place your order and to make it FRESH AND HOT but yet they can't do that. They can't get 15 orders in a row correct. The Moncks Corner South Carolina KFC is garbage and does not need to be in business. If you have to serve old food because you're to lazy to make fresh food you don't need a job. This place and a few others need...

I stopped at the drive thru last night (05/18/23) at 1740. I asked the young lady taking the order "How many chicken breasts do you have cooked?" Instead of answering my question she asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted to order an 8 piece with chicken breasts. She proceeds to tell me I cannot order an 8 piece with all chicken breasts. I responded, "Oh yes I can. There's an upcharge per breast." I have been ordering 8 & 16 piece meals with all breasts for over 40 years. I have never had anyone in any state, across the nation, tell me that it's not allowed. As the young lady became irate and lost her composure (I could hear her yelling "You can't have what you want!") A gentleman started speaking and said that he might be able to add one or two more breasts to my meal but adding 8 was not possible. I asked him, "How many do you have cooked." He refused to answer, again repeating himself that he could add one or two extra but that's it and if I wanted more than that I would have to call ahead. I would like to note this particular store doesn’t allow for custom orders online. Now, still not having my question answered of how many breasts they had available and listening to the extremely rude "young lady" continuing on her tirade, I will never stop at this store again. There are plenty more on my drive and none of the others have ever been so obstinate and disrespectful. The gentleman was never disrespectful. This was going to be a very large order, feeding 6 people, usually runs about 200.00 by the time I am done. However, because I abhor fighting for food, I went elsewhere. That "lady" needs to learn some manners because with her attitude and inability to control her emotions, she will not make it very far in life beyond fast...

On 2/2/2025: The young girl at the counter was a doll. She was very friendly and patient as my 4 yr old grandson flirted with her during the ordering process. She listened as I placed our order for a 12 piece mixed meal (original & extra crispy) to go, and she repeated the order back to me to make sure it was understood. I appreciate her very much. Whoever filled our order though… I’m hoping this review will better that person’s attention to orders and make future patrons experience better than ours. When we arrived at our destination and opened the bucket, there were only 10 pieces of chicken and only 4 of those were extra crispy. There were 2 small legs, a wing, and a very small thigh. Being diabetic, this is a very big “deal” for me. I took the time to actually research and learn that the extra crispy is the only chicken that does not contain sugar. As I said, I hope this review will bring about better attention to detail when fulfilling orders.
