Huddle House — Restaurant in Moncks Corner

If I could give this place no stars I would. This was our second visit, the first time was after the reopening which was a great experience. I'm not sure what has changed, maybe management? So we arrived, we were ignored, as well as other customers who came in. After sitting for 15 minutes our waitress asked about our drinks. The waitress was pleasant. We placed our order then the waitress returned to say they had no biscuits and it would be a 30 minute wait if we wanted them. We declined to wait and placed a different order. While waiting I continued to watch other customers be ignored and tables remain unclean so new customers could sit. After awhile they sat at the dirty tables and the waitress acted annoyed by them doing this. First off they were elderly so show some respect and second you cannot expect customers to stand and wait over 15 minutes while you continually pass a dirty table! There was also a waitress who kept getting on her phone, very unprofessional. There were three waitresses and only ours was cleaning off tables and seeming to serve, the other two might as well not have been there. There were two cooks. So we sat for over 40 minutes after waiting the additional 15 to be acknowledged, could've had the biscuits huh. I got up to pay for our coffee and my husband was telling the waitress we were leaving and then she says our food was coming out. We ate, wasn't worth the wait, then we get our $40 ticket. UPDATE. 5\29\22: With new staff this location has made a complete turn around. The food was excellent and the waitress friendly.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: We received the worst service and food at this location that we have ever received from any restaurant. One waitress kept leaving and the other one was trying to cover all the tables and get customers their correct food. When she took our order and my food came out all wrong, I saw why. Not only was she not there to work, she couldn't take an order and get it right. My order wasn't difficult - grilled chicken sandwich no sauces of any kind and hash browns scattered. What I received was a grilled deluxe chicken with mayonnaise that was a greasy mess. I wish I had taken a picture of the cheese dripping like greasy lava when I pulled it off the chicken and held it up. Our waitress' solution was to make a new bun and put the same piece of chicken back on the grill. I told her that I would eat the dried up chicken sandwich she brought me about 15 minutes later because after 3 canceled American Airlines flights I had not eaten or slept in over 36 hours. We had to ask for everything several times. My sister is a generous tipper but left a much smaller tip than usual. She's lucky my sister tipped and paid for the meal or she wouldn't have...

I've been going to waffle house for years and today I came in and was very disappointed. It was beyond HOT in the building (which I've known it to be broke for atleast the past 2 to 3 months). It was broke last year to. I ordered a water and a starry for my cold to which THEY were even hot. No I've because the ice machine didn't work. I have had instances before where just so many things were wrong but I overlooked them as the food is great (depending on who is cooking) and also depending on who is working...the food could be discounted or free. I noticed to many call out and many are over worked. Donell is a great manager but I also see the limits he's been reaching recently. Brandi is an amazing waitress and Tarves cooks great omelets even though he complains about them. I'll come back because I'm a valued customer but I do believe things need to be fixed. No one can tell the restraunt is open because there is no open sign. Many customers drive through the parking lot to see if they are open and I've over heard many say they need a sign that says they are open. The AC definitely needs to be replaced. Is the food worth it? Absolutely! Is the atmosphere worth it? At the moment...no it's hotter inside the building than it is outside....
