Very disappointed in the quality of the food and (lack of) service. Sunday night dinner time and so much fried food; at first glance and first time to his place, it looked appetizing. The fried rice was dried out to a crunchy crisp and there was overcooked everything from green beens to General Tsao Chicken. The egg drop soup was luke warm (ON A HOT BAR, no less), the sushi was OK. Mystery meat in the chicken dishes, a very sad looking dessert station and the very worst waitress EVER. She didn't even say anything but ask us what we wanted to drink before we even say down. As soon as I said "water and...", she walked away from our table and greeted apparently regulars, by saying, "Diet coke and Iced Tea?" to them. My mom wanted to order off the menu and she never brought us one, I had to go to the hostess stand and get one. The waitress didn't understand a simple question and got the host. He didn't know the answer and left to ask. It was whether Chicken and Vegetables comes with white or brown sauce. They never served it with rice, either. Waste of money and definitely not recommending this place. With 3.9 stars, I now realize I should only be reading RECENT reviews. Still looking for decent Chinese and I'll need tp travel...

But for some reason, today...the frued scallops bin was mostly empty😳...so was the terryaki chicken skewers 😢😩...My mom had just gotten outta the hospital from having back surgery, she specifically asked me to go to two places because they are her favorite 😍. New Chinatown Restaurant being one of them because of both those, their corn on the cob, chicken and broccoli, and other dishes on their buffet. 😋😋😋. Long story short, the staff is always friendly, and they got the food out but it took a long time to get someone's attention to let them know, then for them to get it out there. That's why they got a 4. The food was good, tho. 😋 They also have a really good deal for a carry out buffet. Whatever you can fit and close up in the tray is yours! I just don't want to wait for a buffet, that should always be monitored 😉. I will check back with...

I was ok with the price the young guy said, then another older man came, spoke to the younger one in Chinese and he then the younger guy said he had to charge me more! This is price gouging! It's all you can eat. If I stayed, I would have eaten more than 1 container full. The big issue was, there was a guy in front of me whose container was more full than mine, he spoke to the young guy about his mom etc and he only paid the regular price. But when I got there the older guy felt the need to weigh in on a decision that was already made. Clearly there was some favoritism. But mainly if one guy says one thing, the other shouldn't come running up to make sure I'm charged more. Not about the money, it's the principle!
Last time...
