The food at this restaurant is always great tasting. I have never had an issue with the taste of the food or the quantity. I have always had a great experience when I dine in. My main issue is with how they have their items delivered now. I miss the days when they had actual delivery drivers hired by the restaurant to deliver food. I ordered a lot more frequently when that was in place and never had an issue. Now they have decided to use DoorDash, Uber eats, ect⦠I tried to order through the restaurant using DoorDash in the past and was missing items. And today I ordered through Uber eats and was missing an item and my drink order was not correct. I called Leeās within 3 minutes of my order being delivered. And the lady that answered the phone tried to stay that the way my order was placed was confusing. I literally had to read the receipt back off to her trying to show her that it was placed correctly, and there was no confusion in what drinks were ordered. I was trying to let her know that the mixup came from the restaurant not reading and packing the order correctly, not Uber eats. Her response. Well, you shouldāve ordered through the restaurant website and used DoorDash.. I literally told her I had tried that one other time and it was messed up as well. And she kept deflecting and saying you shouldāve ordered it through the restaurant using DoorDash. And that they could not fix the order. I understand that. I ordered it through Uber eats and knew I would probably have to go through them to get it corrected. But, the no accountability for the restaurants mistake, and rudeness over the phone makes me very hesitant about trying to get anything delivered from this place again. The food is great, so if I decide to go back I will only dine in. And hopefully the next time I go back will be to friendlier employees.
I am updating my review after a very kind message that was left by I assume the owner. He was very understanding about my situation and tried to make my experience right. Food is very good and I will definitely eat...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am originally from central Pennsylvania I can tell you from first-hand experience this place is not as good as they like brag to it be. I've been there twice and both times they overcook the meat on a hot heat until there's no juice left in it and the hoagie rolls are always under baked. Being a true Hoagie aficionado /Junkie I can tell you the Roll is always supposed to be crisp because when you put all your oils and mayonnaise on it and with the juice of the steak the bread works as a plate with a a little crunch so it doesn't get soggy while you're eating it..It's never supposed to be doughy we have to chew it on it forever before you swallow it...I don't think they've ever had a real Cheesesteak before coming from the South. I can tell you though when I take the Cheesesteak home and reheat it in the oven for 5 minutes and makes the bun perfect with the right crispness and the cheesesteak comes back to life better than when you first get it. I think it has something to do with sitting and stewing in its own juices for a few hours in the refrigerator...I also recommend removing any lettuce or tomato if you have that on the sandwich before heating it up but but anything else cooked on it like fried onions or mushrooms are great left on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEDIT: I am updating this review based on the quick response from Rick, the manager. Rick reached out to me personally to apologize for the incident and has done his diligence to ensure this does not happen again. Thanks Rick!
Leeās is one of my favorite restaurants in Lake Wylie, and I donāt normally post negative reviews but this was an exceptionally negative experience. For starters I ordered a sandwich and specified āno cheese, dairy allergyā and received a sandwich with cheese⦠not a huge deal. I called the store and they offered to replace it. While I was waiting for my new sandwich to be prepared the young man who was staging the orders walks over to the grill, picks a wad of bread off of a loaf that is being toasted with his bare hand and proceeds to eat it. I immediately called attention to it with the employee and the manager, but they didnāt even take the bread off the grill until I said something else about it. To make it even better, it was the bread for my sandwich so Iām glad I saw it happen! Iām debating whether or not I will ever return to this location. I really hope that disgusting young man learned a lesson today and never...
