Service was very good and our female waitress couldn't have been more nice. I gave 3 stars because I have never dined with you but was told how GREAT the food was. I was ultimately wanting lunch but arrived a little too early so I tried the breakfast. On the menu the biscuits and gravy looked so appetizing in the picture and it made my stomach growl even more loud when I initially saw the picture. So I ordered with a side of 2 scrambled eggs and honestly couldnt wait to try it. While we waited the server was very attentive to our table and kept our drinks full which is number 1 in my book especially if there isn't anything like an appetizer or anything ordered and she continuously checked on us but not too much. Our food arrived at the table and honestly what I saw in her hands was something I thought was meant for another table. Very quickly I realized this was the biscuits and gravy I ordered and I couldnt believe my eyes when the gravy looked like some weird over floured gelatin type gravy. The one huge GLOB OF GRAVY jiggled as one big scoop as the plate was sat on the table. The sausage pieces that were supposed to be an even blend in the gravy looked like something that came out in pieces from someone's back end. I couldnt believe that this is what was pictured in the menu. Its partially my fault I was to worried to say anything as I didn't want to anger the kitchen or the server and tried to shovel it down as I was extremely hungry. Thank goodness the biscuits were good as I found myself scraping off the sauce and trying to piece together the bits of sausage to make a sausage biscuit. Other than that the experience was good but putting generic pictures in your menu that doesn't represent your product at all was appalling to me. I do want to give your lunch and dinner a try and hope that it's not the same experience. 3 stars for great service the servers were all very nice and were truly amazing in the dining room, the pictures however for the menu need to be updated. It's just...
Read moreI am astounded by the audacity of the management/staff! Myself and 6 of my colleagues speed by for lunch. Some of us had eaten here before, others had not. We ordered. Drinks were brought out along with 1 basket of rolls (mind you, there were only 5 for 7 people! ) We sat conversing patiently for over 20 minutes at which time we began trying to get our waitresses attention for refills. Another 25 minutes passes with the waitress passing us regularly and not acknowledging is. Eventually we went to the counter to inquire about the delay on our food (and maybe get a drink refill) We were told that everything was cooked and ready but the ticket fell so they didn't know whose food it was.
The food came out cold. Not a single one of us got their order correct/without issues.
The catfish came out in 3 small nugget - sized peices. The backed chicken leg quater came out pink (we were told, "that's normal" even though someone else ordered it and it was not pink). The mac n cheese was cold, tasteless and rubbery (we were told they could "put it in a bowl and reheat it". Really!?!) Some sides were missing, the eggs had been reheated. The list goes on...
There was nothing but attitude offered to us by the waitresses and the Manager (he said he didn't know we needed a manager even after coming to our table and delivering us cold food). Some of us couldn't even eat because of the condition of our food. We were charged FULL PRICE for less than 1/2 service and no apology or promise of better service in the future.
I know customer service is going down hill in this country but wow! Such a shame.
There was one waitress (younger lady whose name I wish I could recall) who asked if we needed anything after the whole food fiasco and she got us drink refills. So she earned the 1 star.
It's close to work, so I'm sure we'll end up here again, but I hope the experience improves. Perhaps it's better another day BESIDES SUNDAY??? ...
Read moreTerrible experience. Food was not bad, service was atrocious. Our waitress took quite a long time to bring our drinks and take our order, and several people were served before our table. We politely and frequently thanked the waitress and did not receive responses. We gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe she was having a bad day or had difficulty with social cues; however, we quickly realized that she was just being rude. She frequently catered to specific customers while ignoring us, often chatting with said customers for a lengthy amount of time while we waited for requested items. We were not asked if we wanted refills, she “forgot” several parts of our order, ignored us when we asked for items, and gave us the check, not asking if we would maybe like dessert. At one point I asked for the cornbread muffins that came with the meal and she said they ran out “a few hours ago,” while other patrons (whom arrived after us) had just received cornbread. When this was brought to the attention of the manager, he said that what she said was not right. This waitress was unprofessional, dismissive, and was a bad reflection on this establishment. In spite of being brought to the attention of the manager, no attempt was made in our presence to rectify the situation. He did apologize and said he would discuss the aforementioned with her. There was one waitress there whom I would like to acknowledge. She was kind and polite and provided assistance even though she was tending to her own cleaning duties. It seems southern hospitality is conditional. We will not be returning to this restaurant. Note: it is customary for me to recognize and value good service, provide excellent reviews, and show appreciation for those in service. To my dismay, I was unable to do so in this situation. We don’t have to like everyone, but we can be decent people and be kind. There’s enough ugliness and hate...
