This McDonald's shares a building with a BP gas station convenience store. I keep trying to find a McDonalds that I can give a decent review. I'm beginning to think that McDonalds is having a competition to see which franchise can be the worst. This McDonalds would definitely be in the running. We walked in, there were no customers at the counter, there was one customer in the dinning room. All four Kiosks were out of order. We waited at the counter for what must have been at least ten minutes. Finally an employee with bright red hair (for identification) came to the counter. This must have been the least friendly employee ever. (being nice) She took our order without any kind of interaction. She then tells us to pay on the pay pad with a card, and walks away. She doesn't come back for quite a while. When she finally comes back, I ask for the receipt. She told me they don't have receipt paper, so no you don't get one. Then we waited what must have been another ten minutes. She brings out our food to the delivery box and says here you go. And walks away. But the food was a to go bag. We were eating in. There were no napkins or anything else other than the food. We looked for a seat, but every table had drink rings on them, so they apparently have not been wiped down recently. But to this mcDonalds credit, there wasn't an excess of trash laying around the tables. Some tables, but not many. But the floor near the soda fountain was pretty wet and slippery. We sat down and decided we needed to add salt and pepper to give the food some flavor. That also appeared to be a problem for the counter woman. While we ate, we watched two other people calling into the back, more than once, if anyone could take their order. One of them left. The other called a third time. Other people came in and he was telling them about it and shaking his head. I could hear these people commenting on how much the counter person seems like she has no interest in helping anybody. We spent more time in this McDonalds for a quick burger than we probably would have had we had a proper sit down next door a Ruby Tuesday. But we chose McDonalds to save time. But it seems everything about this McDonalds was a mistake. Because quite honestly, I cannot think of one thing that...
Read moreThis place is a three ring circuses every time! And you don't have to pay admission! Drive thru has 1 car at the speaker, 1 at the window, picking up and 1 customer inside and they are inbthe weeds! They said, yesterday shorthanded so must use kiosk. Out of 4 kiosks only one worked. I paid with my card at the counter. Number 219. 15 minutes later, kid calls out 729. Twice, then he reads the order, and I lookedbat my ticket, and it was mine. Got to the car opened the bag, and the box said "fish sandwich". Needless to say I went back in a a ING why! Aa girl says,"our printer says 7 not 2 so that's what he called!" Well, I guess I should have know that, huh? I mean, I forgot I work there! NOT! THEN, ,she says they were out of boxes. They didn't say anything about that when they gave me 1 quarter pounders in fish sandwich boxes. I forgot: I have x-ray vision, and ESP. I just demanded my money back and went to the ither store, where an employee there agreed with me. This location also will try to steal your coinage. If you pay cash, and tour order is 10.10, they will give you 9.00, no silver because they don't have any change, blaming the bank.
Thus is not just the one time these things happen here. They happen here ALL THE TIME. Which is why I'll writing yet another review on this store. Yes the labor pool is quite shallow here in walyerboro ,sc but, did they hire every short bus person in waltwrbiro and send them here to work? Or, did they go to the elementary school drop-out job fair to hire them? I know some companies get tax credit for hiring certain demographics of people, on food stamps, are physically or mentally disabled or are on other firms of assistance, but, if that's the case, this location is using the tax credits to make the payroll!.
I think Ray Kroc would be rolling over in h8s grave at this store. This is WHAT NOT TO DO...
Read moreAbsolutely horrific!!! I am only giving them a 1 because there is no 0!!! Some of the employees were just casually walking around and others were jogging around laughing holding brooms that were never used for the job they are intended. We observed all this while trapped at the drive thru window waiting for 30 minutes!! This gave us the perfect opportunity to see everything that the health department would have had a field day with!! It seemed every employee had their own personal uncovered unmarked cups sitting around the drink fountain. Ungloved hands that had just been in the cash register were dipping ice from the ice machine in cups to then put in customer cups that were in a line with all the dirty employee cups. I was concerned I was getting an employee’s refilled drink! I was also concerned by the fact that employees were enjoying the French fries while walking around with the brooms that never were used. I was wondering if there was an epic broom fight going on in the back. Employees jogged past the window several times laughing riotously. They kept telling us that the manager had gone on vacation and had left them “all messed up.” That was repeated numerous times in explaining why they didn’t have ketchup or coke. Supposedly we were waiting on the chicken nuggets. When our food was finally passed through the window we immediately checked to see if all was there. It was but the chicken nuggets we waited on were stone cold!! Despite the question of how clean our food was, we were most upset by watching the manager and the employees jump on the mother of a family whose order must have missing items or wasn’t correct. She had been told to move forward and wait for her order near the doors going into the store. I know she had been in that place for 30minutes, no telling how long she had waited at the window. She they treated her...
