Mr. Teriyaki — Restaurant in South Carolina

Mr Teriyaki has been our spot for YEARS but now they’re under new management and you can tell. We won’t be going back. You now can’t get house fried rice as a combo with wings - you have to buy them separate. They won’t put your wings and rice in a separate box unless you pay for them separate. But the problem with that is…8 wings come with the combo but if you have to buy wings separate, you can only get 5, 10, etc. Don’t even get me started on the minuscule amount of ham in the rice. Lastly, I ordered a lemonade but they didn’t give it to the person who picked up our food. I called and let them know and they said they didn’t charge me for it but that wouldn’t make sense because they rung it up with my order. They don’t have itemized receipts so there’s not even a way for me to confirm. Even ordering over the phone was more difficult than it has been previously. They’re not as organized as they used to be...

Tried Mr. Teriyaki for the first time in my adult life. I had a fantastic experience. I told Ashley it was my first time and she answered all of my questions regarding the choices on the menu and seemed to be very knowledgeable. She was very nice during our conversation. I did not call my order in before coming, so I had to wait. It was only roughly about a 15-20 minute wait before my ticket was called and I got 30 wings! For someone who had no dinner plans and didn't call ahead after an hour drive back from Columbia, it was nice that I didn't have to wait long. The best part besides the friendly customer service and the wait time, was the food. The wings were very meaty, I'm talking big chicken wings. Not the small barely anything on them wings. We tried this place for the first time tonight. My hubby tried to call our order in and the first time no one answered and the second he was put on hold for a few minutes. (Understandable as it was peak supper time, 6pm) we placed our order, were given an accurate wait time and he showed up on time, paid and was given our food with ten minutes. We ordered the hot teriyaki chicken fried rice, egg rolls and crab angels. The teriyaki was nice and spicy and the portion is HUGE! The egg rolls were also very big and the crab angels were a nice size though they were a bit soft and very slightly under fried. Everything tasted great and we will definitely be eating...
