Oh my God . This location of Papa's and Beer rocks . I've been to five locations in both South Carolina and North Carolina the one in Simpsonville SC was my first and I fell in love with the quality and quantity of the food you get for the price. Now I did have a bad experience with the one in Spartanburg SC . We were seated and given our menus and silverware my wife unwrapped hers and got a dirty toothbrush. We thought it was either a joke or some type of game where you win a free dinner . But now it was neither of that it was we're the servers would pick up the silverware off the table and put it back into the clean pile of the silverware so the could save time . You never know what people will do at a table or with the silverware and they just put it back . Sickening thought. Then some friends of ours came in we didn't say anything about it to them since it grossed my wife out . Now we had already ordered and had our meal when they came in so they sat next to us . They ordered and got there meal . We ate talked and got ready to leave and since we sat next to each others table and had talked to each other the waiter and manager considered us a party of ten and put a mandatory 18% tip on the bill and refused to take it off . I will never eat at the location in Spartanburg SC again the service was bad they gave my wife a dirty toothbrush and then charged me a mandatory tip for bad service just because some friends cama in after we were seated and eating . But the location in Boiling Springs SC is top notch and fast service and the wait staff if top of the line food is cooked very well they take pride in...
Read moreLet me tell you something. I have lived in texaco most of my life. I have eaten across the border and at every mexican dining institute most everywhere I have visited. I had the very best, and I mean best tacos I have ever had the pleasure of tasting in my life, right here in boiling springs SC! I was on a trip to pickup a new vehicle, got tired of the interstate life, decided to exit. The turn lane into the QT gas station was wide open, but the exit road was fully backed up due to an accident. We decided to get some diesel and a roller dog, but happened upon this colorful food joint. I swear to you when I say I called my wife and asked her to pray for us, that we were going to a seeding appearing hispanic food restaurant that I have never encountered in my life, and we had an extremely long drive ahead of us. I promise it was divine intervention, because from the quality of the beandip and chips, the awesome waiter, all the way down to the cleanliness of the restroom, this was a mindblowing experience. The cleanest restaurant, the nicest wait staff, the best tacos. IF I COULD GIVE IT TEN STARS I WOULD. We even got a bucket of the pork carnitas and tortillas and pico to go it was that...
Read moreVery old building that could use some upgrades. Visited for lunch. When we got there the floor was wet with spots about 1 inch of brown dirty water. It was really disgusting. I don't know why they opened that day. You had to tiptoe around because you didn't want to touch the gross water but you couldn't avoid it.
We like the papas and beer in asheville and since we were in the area wanted to try this location. Big mistake. I ordered camarones a la diabla. I don't know what they gave me but that was not it. They even tried to gaslight me and convince me that it was camarones a la diabla. I said no, I make it at home and whatever this is, is not it. Just because I am american doesn't mean I don't know my foods. I asked for something else but nothing on the menu was appetizing. I ordered a tortilla soup. It came out and again, not TORTILLA SOUP! I didn't say anything this time. I just took it to go. Then when we got outside, I threw it away.
I would not recommend this place to...
