Myself along with 38 family & friends celebrated my Birthday @ The Grapevine this past Saturday evening. It was PERFECT in every way. From the first planning meeting with Toula, I knew i had chosen the correct venue! She is a lovely person who is very professional and knowledgeable about putting together a complete meal for my group. After we decided the " delicate" issue of price per person, she started to work her magic. In just a few minutes she had a set menu card of 1 dish each (beef, poultry, pasta, vegetarian) along with salad & bread, dessert( Italian Cream Sheet Cake). The whole front porch with 12 tables were set up for my guests. This venue is perfect for events during this "Pandemic" which is controlling our lives at the present time. Small tables set for 4 or less in a outside area with plenty of space to spread out the tables all across the front porch. We had 2 waitresses (Heather & Teresa) who took care of us the entire evening with skill, speed, pleasure & most importantly "Efficiency". Often times during the evening addition staff members can out for various reasons( delivering food, removing dishes, checking to see if anyone needed anything). Obliviously a "Team" environment at work there. I highly recommend this venue for events/special moments done with a personal/loving touch. I know i will use this venue again! P.S. All the choices on the menu card were chosen by different guest with good reviews. The ones who chose "Baked Lemon Chicken with Greek Potatoes" raved about it as they were going out the door!! Thanks to the Grapevine for a Happy, Special...
Read moreThe Grapevine is a hidden treasure. You don't get any big shoe clowns , fancy neon signs, or TikTak "influencer dinner dance promotions". None of that BS. What you do get is a locally owned and operated , community oriented establishment that places their focus on great quality traditional food at fantastic prices. The dining room is upscale yet casual at the same time. The walls are beautifully hand painted with murals done by a local artist. There is a fireplace for ambiance. Making it cozy and inviting. From the time you are greated at the door to the time you leave the staff is pleasant attentive, they will treat you like royalty. It is a great place for a datenight with your spouce or significant other. There is something here for everyone. They have a very large menu that offers a little of everything from good old fashioned down home meat and three to chicken Parmigiano, steaks, ribs , greek gyro etc... you would think that with such a large selection the kitchen staff would have a hard time keeping up with quality and efficiency but somehow they pull it off. The great thing about the grapevine is you get all this freshly prepared at better than fast food prices. I almost felt guilty about the price. Everyone knows how the last 8 years have gone in our society yet they held fast to their conviction to serve quality afforrdably. Just come hungry because they are going to feed you well. I doubt anyone ever walks away hungry. I actually have so much left over It will be enough for two...
Read moreWent to the Grapevine today for a late breakfast. My father and I were quickly seated by a very polite and personable waitress (she was absolutely great!). Since we came for breakfast my dad decided to grab the classic grapevine picker meal. He got two eggs, bacon, two pancakes, and a bowl of grits. He could DEFINITELY tell the pancake was fresh and fluffy and his bacon was great too. I, on the other hand had to decide between which of their two specials I was going to have. My choices were between the Mount Olympus breakfast which came with a waffle biscuit topped with sausage gravy and two eggs however you want (a literal mountain of food), and their eggs Benedict special that had two eggs served atop perfectly cooked ham and a toasted muffin drizzled with their HOMEMADE hollandaise sauce. I decided on the eggs Benedict and boy am I pleased. I havent had hollandaise sauce much, let alone homemade, and it hit the spot perfectly. I popped my eggs with a good, runny yolk and the English muffin was crisp to the point it sopped up the delicious egg yolk and hollandaise but still has a nice "CRUNCH". I am definitely pleased with what I had today and it's only a matter of time before I get hungry enough to climb their Mount Olympus meal. Will...
