I am helping friends move to this area. I found Red Bowl through an online search and since they have a large gluten free menu we decided to visit this place. I am the only one in the party who has to dine gluten free but we were all very pleased with our selections.
I started with a fresh shrimp spring roll which comes with a yummy gluten free sauce if you order it gluten free. My main course was flower chicken which consisted of tender chicken and vegetables (asparagus, broccoli, carrot, mushroom and zucchini) served in a white sauce and rice. The portion was huge which is allowing me to have a second helping the next day. My friend's selections were equally as tasty and the same huge portions.
The manager (owner?) was very knowledgeable about gluten which helped to put me at ease dining there. I unfortunately do not live in the area. If I did it would be at the top of my list for me.
To the staff and management: thank you for learning about gluten issues. It made this meal a wonderful experience. If I am ever in the area in the future I will dine there again. Keep up...
Read moreI’ve been coming here since 2021. I’ve enjoyed this place more times than I can count. Short story, for about the last 6 months things have gone way down hill! The food quality is down, the cleanliness is way down, but the servers are still great!!! The manager/owner literally served me two dishes tonight: one of which had human hair in it and the other that had cold food. This man took my food back and said he’d recook my dish, only to throw my cold food back in a pan and heat it. I could tell because it wasn’t much warmer than when it initially came out and it was just as dry. That’s not even the bad part…. The man still charged me full price for everything. I didn’t complain and I paid both the restaurant and my great server. I’m on a red bowl boycott indefinitely. I’m very upset about the sub par attitude of management but I’m mostly disappointed that my favorite, once really good, Chinese restaurant has lost sight of what’s important. Read moreTook my kids yesterday because we heard great things. Our experience was anything but great. No one finished their meal because the food was horrible. The atmosphere smelled like dog water. My water smelled like dog water. My daughter pointed out the lemonade were different colors each time they were refilled (2 lemonades filled 3 times each). My son asked the waitress why were they different colors of it was the same drink.. no answer The rice was overly salted with soy sauce. The sushi was made with warm rice 😵💫. My 10 year old son had a glass with a crack in it. The server was not that pleasant. She spilled the drink on my 9 year old's menu. Did not apologize nor offer to wipe it. At the end when I received the bill, actually, she put the bill in front of the 9 year old. I asked for one of the appetizers to be removed because I never received it. She said oh with a sigh.
