They stole our money and didn’t give us what we paid for. Customer service and common sense policies don’t apply to this establishment apparently! We never go to Cracker Barrel, but I broke my leg and wanted comfort food, so my husband offered to pick up dinner here. I placed the order online and he drove the 30+ minutes to grab it. When he arrived back home an hour and a half later we found that some of the items we ordered were missing, no big deal it happens. Given it was a long drive back I offered to call the store to get a refund just for the items that were missing. Simple no fuss, but fair seeing as we paid for it and didn’t receive it. The phone was given to a “manager” who first told me that my confirmation number/order email wasn’t enough to pull the order up and refund us, we needed the receipt. I explained to him that not only did his employees forget part of my order, they also didn’t provide a receipt. Seeing how I had a email receipt it should be the same. He informs me that not only will he not pull the order up on his end, he also wants us to bring all the items back to the store so they can verify the receipt/refund. When I explained to him how ridiculous it was that we had to further inconvenience ourselves simply because they didn’t get the order right, he said oh no well I can look it up by the confirmation number. By this time I was frustrated beyond belief and my husband took over the call. The “manager” looks up the order number and tells my husband oh well I need to go ask my manager about this, even though he originally told us he was the manager. He came back with; we can give you a discount for next time or you can drive here and get the things we forgot in your order but we’re not refunding you right now… how can you provide a discount instead of repaying us for the items YOU LEFT OUT. We were so upset we just got off the call without a refund from this fraud of a business. DO NOT GO HERE...
Read moreI would like to give 0 stars!!!! The office I work for ordered the staff lunch for our Christmas dinner from here. We thought that would have to call in and do the payment over the phone since our department head had the credit card for payment, we called to see if they would accept a card over the phone and you would have thought that we had asked them to go rob a bank or something the way they were going about one simple yes or no question. Someone named Taylor answered the phone, so I am guessing she was the restaurant receptionist. She transferred the call to someone and then they transferred the call to I am guessing the restaurant manager. When he was asked about can our order be paid over the phone he stated that "he is scared to do that" when all he had to say was that they aren't allowed. He was very rude, so we just ordered online. After going to pick up the order there was food left off. One employee didn't receive her side salad that was ordered and another employee didn't receive his hash browns nor fried apples that automatically supposed to had came with his order. When one of our employees went back to inform them of the mistakes the manager acted as if he didn't want to give us the food that was left. It wasn't like we were lying about what was left off from our order. I've always been told that customer satisfaction is the first priority, but seems to me or should I say us here in our office doesn't seem to think that customer service is a priority. The staff at this Cracker Barrel location in Greenwood really need to learn customer service and how to speak with customers. We're in the healthcare field and we deal with all kinds of people on a daily basis. The patients and family of patients sometimes have attitudes, rude and some are nice but no matter what the situation is or how they are acting we treat all patients the same and that with respect, courtesy, and...
Read moreVery disappointed in the service this past visit. I know it was Mother's Day; however, our issue wasn't that we had to wait in line for an hour to be seated. Our issue was that our waitress kept forgetting about us. We were seated and she promptly came to our table and got our drink order, request for biscuits/cornbread, and food order. We eat there are frequently enough that we already knew what we wanted to eat. I expressed to her that I was particularly hungry after having to wait and that I wanted to get our biscuits and cornbread soon and not wait on our meal to get them. So she returned with our drinks and no bread. She said that they were just coming out of the oven and she would bring them right out. By that time three other tables had been seated in her area. She greeted them and got their drink orders. She brought our food out to us still with no bread. I reminded her about the bread and she said I'll go get it now. Then, I saw her serving bread to the other three tables that had just been seated. She did not bring us our bread at that time. After waiting a while and halfway through our meal, I got the attention of the hostess and asked her for bread. She brought us the bread that we had been requesting. There was no wait. She simply went back there, got it and brought it to us and it was fresh and warm. I do not understand why we were seated first and everybody else got bread well before we ever did. She returned to our table later to check on us and never apologized or even mentioned the bread....
