To start things off the service was lacking to be generous. After I was seated it took about 12 minutes for my server to even appear and I do mean literally appear. She possible could have been on a smoke break or etc. The selection of Sushi was descent. Granted they lacked a good many core selections you would find at any other Sushi establishment such as Baby Octopus, Squid or even Conch. Not to mention they do not serve Green Tea at all or even have soy dishes for that matter. I made an order of 5 rolls and 2 pieces of Nigiri, before I could even get to the Nigiri my waitress shouted across the restaurant to the Sushi Chef "We got 5 rolls coming" and you could see the pain welling up in this kids eyes at the dread. So incredibly u professional to say the least. The rolls I received was first and foremost very loosely rolled and would fall apart upon touching the Soy Sauce or Wasabi(not real wasabi at all, more like horseradish sauce with green dye, extremely watery). The same was with the Nigiry, the rice would instantly fall apart once you grabbed it. Could have been the rice wasn't very moist which would mean either a batch was improperly made or stored. The fish wasn't of good quality which is to be expected with the type of establishment it is. To make matters worse even though i ordered 5 rolls I only received 4 of them even though she yelled it across the restaurant lol. Overall my advice would be is to go to Sushi 101 in Goose Creek or Sushi 201 in downtown Summerville for a much more fulfilling experience. I would give this place a 1 star but the food was edible...
Read moreHave been coming to this place with my boyfriend for three years. Always had excellent service wether we ate in or ordered to go, and the food was always delicious. The order was always correct and we left very satisfied. We were fine with the prices going up because it was always good. However every time lately it's been hit or miss. A few weeks ago the rice tasted sour so we didn't want to risk eating it. And today is just a big let down. This was supposed to be hibachi steak extra mushrooms and extra rice (I always order this). I haven't even touched it yet but there's zero mushrooms and obviously not extra rice. He always gets hibachi steak, medium well with no veggies and extra rice and what he got is in the second picture. Should've checked the bag before we left 🙁 wasn't worth the money spent. After taking the first bite it sadly tastes like a homemade trial using the cheap flavour packets from the grocery store. We're not finishing it for a fourth time. From getting orders wrong, missing veggies, putting veggies in both (he doesn't eat veggies) and overcharging for crappy food quality. It's safe to say we won't be returning unfortunately. I generally don't write reviews but I'm extremely disappointed because I was really craving this!
TL;DR - The food quality is not worth the price anymore. Got fed up of constantly getting our order wrong and being disappointed/ not being able to...
Read moreThis is one of our go to spots for sure. The food is ALWAYS great and I dont think I have EVER experienced bad service here. But the reason for my comment tonight is that with all the craziness we are currently going through my procrastinating self decided to call an order in at almost 830 knowing they close at nine which to be honest I didnt even consider at first. But when I arrived I saw how quickly everyone was working and how the phone was ringing back to back with call ahead orders. I honestly felt kind of guilty probably from having worked in the food industry myself at some point and knowing how much I didnt want to have to stay behind much longer once the doors closed. The cashier stood out especially because she was graceful and polite regardless how overwhelmed she had to be feeling. It's easy to dismiss the amazing work these food industry workers are truly doing right now more than ever so I really wanted to say thank you to the entire staff and I cant stress enough how amazing all of yall are for putting everyone in the world first and showing up to offer the rest of us the luxury we often take...
