This isn’t a review I was planning to leave today. Yesterday, I went through the drive thru at this same location and ordered a Mint Majesty with two honeys (I enjoy the drink and it just so happens to be someone else’s favorite drink) and had a great experience. The employees were polite, friendly, and delivered a very simple, efficient transaction. However, today was a completely different experience when I came back and ordered the same drink. It should be known that I provided them with my own name for the order, not forcing them to write a name that I am perfectly aware they may not want to write. This time I received a personalized note on my cup, admittedly written by Jess, pictured below. I didn’t initially notice the note but once I did, the message was pretty clear. While Jess believed she was smart and subtle, it was clearly an unnecessary, passive-aggressive way to poke at my order. I’m not one to shy away from conversation, so I went back and asked to speak to the on duty manager about the note’s meaning. As expected, the entire crew tried to downplay the message explaining that they wrote fun little notes on every cup. They claimed it was a smiley face but my four year old child would disagree. Obviously, they were unable to adequately explain the positive intent behind the message my cup received. It’s disappointing. Without mentioning CK, they did. They acknowledged that they are aware of his order and they’ve even had training on it. Now, I’m going to venture that this particular practice wasn’t part of the training. When I go to Starbucks, I want the employees to take my order, make my drink, and then give me the drink. That’s it. I wasn’t making a political statement, I simply ordered a drink that Starbucks offers. I hope this review results in additional professionalism training by the store’s manager, Rob, as well as better leadership and accountability from the District Manager, Scott. I fully realize there are bigger issues in the world than this, however, I believe this hateful way of expressing oneself’s personal opinions does not belong in any corporate business. I would not have left this review if the employee or manager had acknowledged the mistake when confronted rather than gaslight me into believing it had a positive intent.

The people employed here lack any type of simple common sense skill set. I've tried so many times to get my drink stirred. I guess that's considered rocket science for the baristas at this location ( if they are even baristas) They attempted to hand me this drink at the window. I refused it and asked for them to stir it cause it wasn't stirred ( 2 fingers of syrup ) They took it back and still handed it to me un stirred. I spend A LOT of money at Starbucks and in my opinion this location has fallen SO short in preparation of literally the easiest drink that I'm just gonna buy something to make my own at home. 3 shots espresso with 5 white mocha pumps. Stirred, over ice. ROCKET SCIENCE 🚀 🙄

One year update: Still one of the best Starbucks in the district! Highly recommend this location! This cafe (Hwy 14 and Main St Simpsonville, SC 29681) has made great improvements and merits my highest rating. The opening Partner staff have all been very cordial and accommodating and get my order right every time! Glad to call this location my "third space!"

This Starbucks is off and on with service, which I feel like is most Starbucks unfortunately. The drinks and food are typically good, but service from the workers is where the issue typically is for myself and others that go to this location. Between the times of 9:25-9:40am on 07-16-25, there was two women who were mainly assisting with drive through via head set and by the window passing out drinks. During the drive through, the workers on the head set were making snarky comments to the woman in front me and rushing her. Once I got up the microphone, I was rushed and then had a snarky comment thrown at me as well. The drive up window was the same, with several passive aggressive comments unfortunately. I understand that it’s a busy morning, but that shouldn’t be an excuse, especially since I didn’t say anything snarky or unkind. There seems to be no point to be unkind to workers who clearly let their emotions impact their work, but it would be helpful if workers were more kind and not making comments or rushing guests due to them not having a...

I understand they are new… but I placed an online order and my fiancé went to go pick it up for us. (I usually order from W. Georgia Rd, but they were not offering online orders & she struggles to remember my order so we always do online pickup). First, they completely forgot her drink and she had to ask them for it because they were telling her to have a good day while she only had 1 out of 2 drinks. That’s not a problem, it can be overlooked. But, she calls me on her way back & asks if the drinks were supposed to be cold & if I had entered in the app that I wanted them hot. Well, I ordered them off the hot drinks/coffee menu and never had an issue before with them being cold instead of hot. But nope.. both drinks were cold and over ice. She’s on her work break & doesn’t have time to turn around to get it fixed & I cant even find a phone number for this...
