Waffle House — Restaurant in South Carolina

It would've been nice if 1 waffle house could get things together

I called in a Sausage, Egg, Cheese Grits bowl with xtra Cheese & xtra Sausage my husband got hash browns instead of grits.

The waitresses we're not friendly at all had absolutely No personality & very unfriendly.

We were about 30 mins away & I told the waitress that when she answered the phone.

She never asked me my name or phone #. I walked in & I told the waitress at the Register that I was from Batesburg & I ordered a Sausage, egg, cheese Grits bowl with xtra sausage & cheese she made a comment under her breath when she looked at the ticket & I heard her say oh well.

I was in a hurry bc we had been up since 2:30 am & all we wanted to do was get home.

Now the Cook was very Friendly & nice he was the only 1 that told me & my daughter to have a good night ladies.

It's not his faught at all it's the waitress who cannot take orders correctly.

My husband had to eat some of it bc he had to get to bed & we could not take the plate back to Lexington.

This was the 1st time to the one on Charter Oak Rd & it will be the last time.

FYI: TAKE OUT ORDERS Make sure you check your food before leaving esp if you're a long way from there.

We got 2 suppose to be completely different plates & 2 Lrg Sweet Teas

There's nothing here to tell us how much each item is not only that but what is other for $6.10. I pressed button for no tip bc this...

We have been to this Waffle House twice in the past week and both experiences have been terrible. We went on Friday night, fairly late and there were only maybe 4 tables with customers in the whole place. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to be made and they messed the order up 3 times. It was so bad that our waitress was literally yelling at the cook. The manager came and offered to discount our meal without us even asking because it was so bad. However, they only took $3 off a $25 check which wasn't worth near the time and experience we had to put up with.

We went back there yesterday hoping for a better experience. Once again we waited over 45 minutes for 2 Allstars and a Patty Melt. Once again they messed up our order and brought out several of the wrong items. We had already finished eating and were ready to go when they finally brought out the last few items of our order. The waitress again said she would discount us without me even saying anything. This time the discount was $1 off of a $35 order. Once again a slap in the face.

It appears the main issues are coming from a specific cook who was there both times and seemed to be the cause of the delays and errors. I don't know her name but it is a shorter, older white woman. It was so bad yesterday that numerous customers were openly complaining about the delays and the errors they were having as well. Something needs to be done about that cook and there needs to be some better supervision...

Came in with my kids a little later than a normal dinner hour. We ordered waters because we didn't want our kids to have a bunch of sugar before bed. The first thing our server said upon arriving at our table was telling my kids to not make a mess. He was going home soon and was not going to stay late to clean up thier mess. My wife ordered food for one side of the table and I ordered for the other side. Our food came out cold. Eggs where extremely over cooked. Two waffles where soggy and covered in black burned waffle bits from the previous waffle on the iron. I asked for them to be replace and they where mad, but just left on plates infront of the waffle irons and never brought to the table. We ordered a side of grits that never came as well. My son had a buger and was happy with it, but that was the only thing that was fair or decent about our meal. I received a bill for $44 dollars 30mins after my wife left with the kids which was incorrect. I just paid the place and told him he could eat the cold waffles behind him if he wanted a tip. I know we came in with kids and order waters, but I have $30 cash in my pocket for a server when I walked in. I guess it will go to the next guy... As a side note I ordered breakfast at the same location last Christmas there was 15 people working there that morning and they all got at $10 tip. I've worked in the food service industry and so...
