I started my membership with Dynamic Fitness over two years ago... Pretty much regretted the decision a week or two in as it just wasn't the gym for me. I initially added the tanning package because I was told I could easily cancel if no longer needed. First, there's only one tanning bed, there was a wait all of 2-3 times I tanned and you have to clean the bed yourself. This lead to the decision to remove this addition from my account. I was told the only way to do so was send an email. Then, I was told I couldn't remove it. Finally, I decided it was just time to cancel the entire membership. I was told I would have to buy out the entire contract which I definitely couldn't afford to do. So, I had no other option than to ride out the membership. I emailed a few times requesting at least a little give on the cancelation. Going through a divorce at the time and becoming a single mom, I needed all unnecessary outgoing money to cease. I didn't want a free pass, just a little human decency. But, I get it, it's business...fine. My membership was finally over last month and guess what, they charged me again. I emailed because well, with Dynamic, that's your only option when you have an inquiry/issue. I was told that my wording in my previous email didn't exactly state that I didn't want to renew or go month to month. What?! My email thread clearly stated I wanted nothing more to do with this company and my financial hardships. I was offered no refund for this month, just an "Ok, we won't charge you next month." Cheers to paying over $875 for maybe 5-10 visits to Dynamic. My advice if you're thinking about a membership with them, RUN...to another gym. Even if their equipment is "ok," their customer service definitely is not.
Response from the owner 9 minutes ago Stephanie, your review is false and defamatory. Your financial problems nor the fact that you didnât use our facility is NOT our fault or our problem. Take responsibility for the fact that YOU chose not to use our facility and itâs absolutely ridiculous that you would use the tanning bed as an excuse. You were clearly asked last year when you wanted to cancel before your membership was done if you wanted us to remove auto renew (which you signed for) for you. You NEVER responded. So, your membership auto renewed. We arenât mind readers. Once again, not our fault. You were also asked if you wanted a financial hardship freeze that we offer to our members as a courtesy to help them through hard times. Once again, you NEVER responded. Our customer service is excellent and always has been. We also have the best equipment in town, the best service and the best staff. Unfortunately, you chose not to experience that. The problem here is, you are trying to take your personal problems out on us instead of taking responsibility for your actions. Or the lack of your actions in regards to responding to emails which we do so we always have documentation especially for situations like this. We are more than happy to post copies of the emails here so people can see that what you are saying is false. We absolutely tried to help you. You didnât help yourself.
Edit/update to initial review: I expected nothing less from Dynamic than to respond in this way. You've chosen to place blame and argue with your customer vs reply with dignity or not reply at all. This is what I've dealt with, thank you for the clear example. You're right, there's a reason I chose not to use your facilities but still paid. The tanning bed is not my reason but one example as to why I'd rather spend my hard earned money on nothing vs visiting your gym. I don't expect you to be mind readers but readers, at least. I took responsibility and held up my end of the bargain but you wanted more. Just as you defend yourself with nonsense, I would expect you to pick and choose which emails you share...because yes, you did offer an auto freeze and I responded with, if that's the best you can do...    Read moreI am giving this company one star due to their choice in using Peak Payment Services. And the ownerâs terrible customer service and lack of honesty and accountability! I was behind on my bill due to some financial hardships. I spoke with the company several times to discuss this. I was đŻ willing to make payments on a regular basis to the best of my ability. The representative informed me I could continue calling and making payments. This morning I woke up to an overdrawn bank account and an 35 dollar charge from my bank. I asked if my card would be charged without my knowledge and I was told absolutely not!
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM UNLESS YOU CAN PAY EVERYTHING UP FRONT!!! $10 a month quickly turned into 75 a month. I really believe this this gym depends on people being late to rake in the late fees.
Stay away from franchises gyms in general, they make you think they are locally owned and care about the community but unfortunately that hasnât been my experience.
Edited: please read their response to my review. It speaks volumes about their character. I contacted two locations about this matter (mangers) told me I had to take this up with Peak Payments because my account was closed. Peak Services which is the company they use to collect payments. (The owner saying they handle this in house is a flat out lie!) This may not be a franchise but they sure give you the customer service youâd expect with a franchise. None! I also contacted member services and got no response. I will not be told who I can and canât leave a review for, if you donât like bad reviews, up your customer service game and learn to take feedback. While weâre on the subject of this company lying⌠Iâd also like to add that I added the multi pass to my membership to use the charter oak locations sauna. As soon as I joined the other gym the sauna was removed with no explanation and no one could tell me if or when it was coming back and I was not offered a refund for this. I also signed up for team training which I went to once and never returned because the roof had leaked all over the floor and we were asked to âwork out aroundâ all the wet spots and puddles on the floor.

   Read moreBeen a member here for a while. I did not tour before becoming a member as I was a member back when it was New Life and assumed (incorrectly) that this facility had not changed much; man has it.
The place is absolutely dirty. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting; from the toilets to the showers to the sinks. The disrepair of the furniture is remarkable.
The equipment is not bad but definitely could be maintained better and made more stable.
If you read the other reviews here that are of the less than positive bent, coupled with the owners (or whoever is replying) remarks, you can tell the is not a business managed for optimal customer care or business growth; managing just to get by and it shows.
Can you work out here; sure. Can you clean up for work here after the workout; sure. Is it desirable; heck NO.
I would not recommend spending money here. Think, just one minute away you have a site that has a reputation for customer focus, maintained equipment and facilities and is very cost favorable.
Hope this helps some you out there looking to make a decision on where to spend your hard earned dollars to stay healthy or get in shape.

As you see from the response received for my review; simply more deflection, same in other less than favorable reviews raising the same concerns by this supposed owner.
No, I am not affiliated with the location up the street. I am a patron of this facility and have raised my concerns with the local staff repeatedly.
I have taken pictures on the notes filth with date and time stamps that clearly are days / weeks / months apart with no resolve of the issue, especially the restrooms and the filth that is never addressed.
Just this week, the same disgusting conditions are still present and yet it has been stated there is a cleaning staffâŚremains to be seen and I am not the only one stating how poorly this facility is maintained, both in other reviews as well as in discussions with others working out.
