Wendy's — Restaurant in South Carolina

This used to be my go to spot for a little treat, up until recently. I can only express how dissatisfied I am from my recent visit. I had ordered a burger and a chicken sandwich. Firstly, the chicken sandwich had been sitting out for a very long time for how dry and hard it tasted. Secondly, the burger was still pink in the middle! It’s a thin enough patty and it wasn’t cooked all the way through? How?! I ordered this late at night so I wasn’t about to drive back and sit in a long line to fuss. I am also a few days late reviewing this because after eating the undercooked burger, mentally or not, it made me sick to my stomach that night and into the very next day - I had to call out from work over this experience. I most likely will not be returning to this Wendy’s; I’ve already had a previously bad experience where I had received attitude from an employee after they tried to give me the wrong frosty, because they were out of chocolate, and walked away after I asked for a refund. I'm upset this used to be one of my favorite Wendy's to go to but now I'm not to sure about it anymore. The staff running the drive-thur where a little rude the lady at the first window look irritated with me for no reason. Then when I arrived at the second Window to grab my food and drink i proceeded to ask to make sure they understood i wanted my food cooked fresh because I have no problem waiting for fresh food and they looked at me with a awkward look on there face and answered me unsure saying yes. After seeing and taking a taste the food was not fresh so I proceeded to walk inside and get it remade and I got the unsure look from the staff in process. I received about a small portion of my order cooked correct and the rest remade because of another mess up. I didn't want to proceeded with trying to get my chicken sandwiches fixed again in order not to make a scene so I left. This is not the first time I have started to have this problem with them messing up my food or the staff being rude or being absent minded along with lying about my food being cooked fresh and giving me old food. The dining area had wet floor signs down, and it appeared someone had spilled sprite or something else sticky in a couple different huge long trails in front of the registers. If that was actually lingering mop water I would be surprised because it felt thick to walk on. The self-serve drink machine area was filthy, the dispenser didn't appear to be cleaned in a long time, and even the cup lid dispenser was absolutely dirty. I really didn't want to get a lid but I was taking my order to go. There was ketchup splattered around the trash receptacle on the condiments counter.

The entire area was just filthy, as if nobody is making sure the staff maintain cleanliness during shifts. There is more to food service than preparing and serving food, but apparently that's all that seems to matter at this location. I hope there weren't any contaminants or filthy hands preparing my food, but I can't be too hopeful, judging by the conditions in the areas that are visible and accessible to the public.
