Updating my review in lieu of several poor experiences lately. The staffing is incredibly poor (as in, clearly not enough staffing). Wait times are very high, and the staff is very overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the customers.
One of the greatest challenges are that 2 employees are typically in charge of drive through, expo, lobby register, and online pickup. This issue is causing: Frustration amongst online and in store order customers Massive or frequent order errors Increased wait times due to remakes
Today, I arrived at the drive-through, which didn't appear unreasonably busy. I ordered 4 meals with the plan to take my kids to the park for a picnic. Upon arrival at the park, I realized an entire meal was missing. I called the location and spoke to one of the location managers who offered to replace the meal that was left off the next time I come back. This offer didn't resolve my concern and was unacceptable to me. Either I don't have lunch today or I pack my kids up and take them back to fix this locations mistake. I typically go through my order with a fine tooth comb due to repetitive issues, but today, the bag appeared to have 4 meals in it as the cashier placed it in my back seat. My orders had no changes to them, so I wasn't anticipating any issues.
Last week I waited and watched orders that were bagged and complete sit for 10 or more minutes as the customer waited, wondering if their order was ready. A door dash employee came in and got incredibly frustrated seeing this and after the interaction, the 3 or 4 customers waiting were also frustrated. The lobby cashier and drive through cashier bagged items but did not call out the completed orders because they were so overwhelmed with the customer volume. My online order hadn't even been started and it was 20 mins past the "online completion estimate".

updating after a year Absolute worst customer service ever by Crystal. Normally I would not write a review as I work in customer service myself but this woman should no longer be employed. It was not even 9:30 yet when I went through the drive thru and the line was not long at all (surprisingly). I had my window down as I was next in line. The man in front of me was politely ordering and I could hear the woman taking the order say very frustrated after each meal “will that complete your order?!”. He politely said no and continued. Eventually she said “how many orders are you ordering sir”. The poor man stated he had multiple kids so his order was long and apologized. Don’t you want to increase sales??? I get up to the window and I am told “please wait”. Not “I will be right with you”, instead it was please wait. This wasn’t that bad so i just said okay and waited. She took my order still kind of with an attitude but I was trying to let it go, people have bad days. When I get to the window she tells me my total and snatches my card from my hand. She shoves the card and receipt at me through the window and then shoves the drink as well. She so violently throws the bag at me I thought it was going to fly out of her hand into my car. No words were spoken. “Here you are, thank you, have a nice day” absolutely nothing. I myself didn’t say thank you either because this to me was so rude and shocking that an employee would act like this. I have been cussed out, spit on, etc by customers and I never treated them this...
Read moreI have never been to Zaxby’s because we don’t have it in Connecticut or New York. I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews until after I formed my own opinion. I probably wouldn’t have come in. There is take out, drive through, online order, pick up, and dine in options available. Very clean and neat inside. It gives you a warm feeling inside. It’s fast food but it looks like a restaurant or diner inside. Mary Grace took our order and was very friendly and outgoing. We didn’t wait long to get the food.
The food was great. I think their chicken and sauces taste better than their competitor that is closed on Sundays. I got the spicy chicken without pickles. Fried and seasoned perfectly. The sauces on it complement it nicely. We shared the loaded fries. Great combo of cheese, ranch, bacon and bits of chicken over the fries. There are two reasons this wasn’t a 5 star review. The fries are not good. They taste like a store brand with not much flavor. Second reason was the cheese was not melted on the loaded fries and the white cheddar bites were not hot. The bites should have been gooey with a nice pull. They were good, but warm and firm. The cheese being melted on the fries would have made them better. Would I come back? Absolutely without a doubt. Just don’t think I will order...
