My recent experience at your Zaxby’s location was quite disappointing.
When I arrived to place my order, I encountered significant difficulties due to the noise from the kitchen staff, which made it hard for both me and the cashier to communicate effectively while i was stationary in the drive thru. This situation detracted from the overall experience.
Before reaching the window I requested a manager who was a African-American male. I was surprised by his lack of greeting; he merely stared at me until I initiated the conversation. I explained the issue regarding the noise and how it affected my order.
After returning home and discovering my order was incorrect, I drove back to the store to address the issue again. Unfortunately, the same manager appeared & He was very dismissive and did not engage warmly once againz. Once more, I had to prompt him with a greeting. I expressed my concerns about his customer service and asked what could be done to rectify the situation. However, in the midst of our conversation, he attempted to walk away.
After I informed the manager that I was not finished speaking with him, he then took the time to listen however, I found his actions to be incredibly rude and unprofessional. I insisted that he needed to hear my complaint in its entirety. Eventually, he did listen and offered to remake my food but he did not mention anything about compensation.
During this time, I requested to speak with the General Manager (GM), who was a Caucasian male, and the contrast in service was striking. He greeted me warmly, asked how I was doing, and genuinely seemed concerned about my experience. I shared the issues I faced with his manager, detailing the poor customer service I had received not just once, but Twice.
I couldn’t help but feel disheartened that a fellow African-American provided such horrible customer service to say he is apart of management . It was disappointing to encounter this from someone who should understand the importance of good customer relations. The GM, however, was excellent and made me feel heard and valued.
While my issue was ultimately resolved thanks to the GM’s intervention, the initial experience very distasteful! I believe it’s essential for all employees, especially those in leadership roles, to uphold high standards of...
Read moreStopped here around 2:30pm on a Saturday while traveling. It was extremely busy, we waiting for a very long time in the drive thru, which we understood since they were so busy. They lady came on the speaker, I could not understand her, I ordered, drove around paid and then was told we had to wait in a parking spot for our order. Still we understood, they were busy. They finally brought out our food, and as soon as I opened the bag, they left out a salad we ordered. I checked the receipt, we were not charged so I had to go in. It was a complete disaster in the restaurant. No social distancing. The cashier was touching her face mask, taking it off and on, pulling at her clothes, wiping her face. The drink machine was Partitioned off by chairs, rugs and tables. A customer even tripped over the rug trying to get his food. The kitchen is clearly visible and there were several people in the back with masks around their chins. One lady, whose mask was around her chin and had air pods in, was yelling at everyone and throwing boxes of food in the window, all I could think was all of her spit that she was yelling was landing on all the food. The fry cooks did not have masks on properly. All of the front end staff were touching their masks non stop. I understand The food is good here BUT whoever owns this business needs to seriously take note and make some major changes for the safety of the customers and staff. I would be mortified if my company was running like this. I understand being in the weeds but nothing excuses...
Read moreThis place was slammed Saturday at lunch time. The building was hot like there was no ac, we were sitting at the table sweating while waiting for our food. The line was super long and blocked the drink machine and bathrooms. The cashier was not very friendly, was very short with me and my aunt. I guess only one bathroom stall worked in the women’s bathroom and we had a 7 person line at one point. The one ice machine didn’t work so the drink line got very long at one point. The wait for food was about 15 minutes which is better than I expected. The lady handing out food was very nice and helpful and was rushing to get people their food. But the lack of air conditioning and that many people in there made it uncomfortable to eat. We ended up throwing most of the food away and leaving. It’s just hard to enjoy your meal when you are sweating plus we had a baby with us and she was overheating. I know this place is on the way to the beach and we stopped at lunch time on a Saturday so we knew it would be busy but the temperature inside that place is unacceptable. I wasn’t the only one complaining, I had two other people in the line...
