Somehow I've missed this place, even though it's close to my house. I delivered an order from there the other day, & it smelled so good, I had to try it. And WOW, I was not disappointed. The food was just phenomenal. And it's been years since I had Indian, so I wasn't sure exactly what to get or how spicy, & the woman that took my order was very helpful & didn't get aggravated at all with my silly questions, which I really appreciate. I ended up getting the Butter Chicken (medium spice, which is about as spicy as medium Thai food, if you're familiar with that, to give you an idea, pretty spicy, but not unbearable if you enjoy spice) & a garlic naan bread. The Butter Chicken was so creamy, thick, & very much a comfort food sort of experience to eat. The complexity of flavors was impressive, they even put aromatics in the basmati rice, taking it up a notch as well by adding additional flavors to an already fragrant, tasty rice. The rice was also perfectly cooked & not sticky or wet at all, just right. The chicken was great too, tender, no icky parts to pick out or anything, & so flavorful. The garlic naan, of course, was great also. Very garlicky, but in a good way, & it also went nicely dipped in the main dish. I was so happy that the food ended up being so good - now I have a new favorite to add to my list along with Siam Spice & Tia Cori's. For me, putting a restaurant on par with Siam Spice is the ultimate compliment.😂 And as far as prices, they're a little high for me personally, but I think they're fair considering the amount of work that probably goes into making food like this, & their prices are about the same as most (tasty) sit-down places. And, I think it would be easy to share an entree, because it was a lot of food. I ate until I was STUFFED & probably didn't make it through half, which is awesome, now I have lunch for tomorrow too. I can't wait to go back & try different things!
Read moreAttention all foodies and gastronomes! brace yourselves for an epic culinary journey like no other. let me introduce you to the crown jewel of indian cuisine - Ammrit Indian Cuisine.
from the moment i walked through the doors of this divine establishment, i knew i was in for a treat. the cleanliness and ambience of the restaurant were so impeccable, it rivalled that of a clean room at the kennedy space center. the exquisite décor and lighting set the perfect mood for a meal fit for royalty.
now, let's talk about the food. oh my, where do i even begin? we started with the mixed tandoori platter, which was a feast for the senses. the succulent chicken, tender lamb, and juicy prawns were cooked to perfection and infused with a blend of spices that transported me to the streets of india. the dal makhani was the best i've ever had, and the mint paneer left me speechless. I saw heaven without having to go to the afterlife.
but that's not all. the customer service at ammrit indian cuisine is second to none. the servers were so attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, that they recommended dishes i never would have thought to try. and let me tell you, i'm so glad i did! each dish was a masterpiece in its own right, bursting with flavours that danced on my tongue.
as if that wasn't enough, the hospitality at ammrit indian cuisine is beyond compare. to make up for a slight delay, the chefs sent out an extra, complimentary plate of rotis, fresh from the tandoor oven. and just when i thought it couldn't get any better, they brought out the most immaculate mango custards i've ever tasted, as an apology for the delay. the sweetness of the mango and creaminess of the custard were a match made in heaven.
in conclusion, if you're looking for an indian restaurant that ticks all the boxes, look no further than ammrit indian cuisine. with food that'll leave you in a state of pure bliss, customer service that'll make you feel like a vip, and hospitality that'll warm your heart, this place is an absolute must-visit. don't take my word for it, go and experience it for yourself. you...
Read moreI live about 10 min away and have been watching for this place to open. Timing finally worked out and I took my mom and her husband- NOT adventurous eaters who can't tolerate spicy. It was easy to find things that had punches of flavor but familiar enough for a novice to feel good about their selection. Sorry, no pictures to accompany this review. Technical difficulties.
Started with Chicken Samosa and Tandori Chicken Wings. Samosa was crispy and light with a filling packed with lovely spices. Wings had flavor through the meat, not just dressed on top. Obviously these wings were marinated and cooked to perfection.
Next up were the mains. The Onion Kulcha was tender and packed with sweet onions. Delicious and perfect for sopping up every bit of sauce from the plate. Mom had Butter Chicken. Bathed in a rich velvety sauce with warm spices, the chicken was tender and plentiful. Her husband had the Shrimp Tikka Masala. It is so easy to over cook shrimp. No worries here. Shrimp was tender, plentiful and the sauce was rich with a luscious melding of warm spices. All of the above choices were perfect for someone who cannot tolerate spicy foods and/or are just trying out Indian cuisine.
I got the Goat Achari. A-MAZ-ING! I got medium spicy level, which gave me the excitement on my palate I wanted, but still allowed me to enjoy the perfect blend of flavors offered in this dish. The meat was tender and melted in my mouth. The sauce was rich and the pickle flavoring was a deliciously surprising back note to the overall eating experience.
After all this, we had no room for desert. I'll rectify that next time around.
Side note: Don't be afraid to try the Indian beer choices.
I think the fact that my dinner companions are eager to return is a good sign. I will DEFINATELY be returning. There are too many menu items I want to try.
As for you, reader, do not hesitate to give this restaurant a try. Opening a new restaurant is a huge risk. One this good needs to be a staple in...
