Called to place an order for pick up (due to the pandemic we prefer to pick up and eat at home than eat outside where trash can get into your food and your away from others)
Asked the person who answered if I can place an order for pick up and asked for an omelet, with a rude manner the person asked which omelette plate (mind you I specifically told the person what it had in it, their menu isn’t that visible to know which omelet it was! Or do they ever give out take home menus. Also we don’t go as often to know the name of the plate either) cause they have varies version of the omelet they NEEDED to know the name of the omelette we want.
Once they named each plate and what it had we made a choice and ask for a specific item in the plate to be substituted for something else (which has always been done from before the pandemic and two months ago when we placed an order as well) The person rudely said that’s not possible and it can’t be done. I responded with we have always gotten it that specific way when we have gone or order for pick up. They continued to say it shouldn’t be done because it might confuse everyone’s orders.
Like what? How will it confuse anyone else’s order? Do they not write down which order goes with what?
I told them ok fine sure I’ll get it how it is. Gave me the price and time it will take and hung up.
We enjoyed this place as much as we did but never had this experience. I understand if they are busy ok but do not be rude to customers and calmly explain the reason or calmly explain we have different types of omelets maybe it’s this one or that one. Went last nite to have a quick dinner as my partner and I enjoy their food. We rushed as it was almost closing so that we don't make their team stay longer. My partner ordered quesadillas we ordered quite a bit of food. As we had a friend with us. My partner diD not finish her quesadilla plate she only ate 1. As we asked for our bill and we were putting our food in a to go container WE FIND A HAIR IN HER FOOD. AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PLATE. WE ONLY WERE ABLE TO SEE IT BECAUSE WE FLIPPED THE FOOD IN THE TO GO CONTAINER. WE ASKED FOR THE MANAGER RAMIRO WAS HIS NAME. HE WENT ON TO SAY TO CHARGE US FOR THE ONE QUESADILLA WE ATE. HE ALSO WENT TO SAY. OH DIDNT YOU SEE THE HAIR WHEN YOU ATE THE QUESADILLA. BASICALLY INSULTING US STATING THAT WE MUST HAVE PUT THE HAIR IN THE FOOD. GiVEN THE HAIR WAS A short black hair. My partner has colored hair. I have really long hair. It was a total insult and uncalled for. If you are a manager you don't go to blaming your guest. Especially when they r more than respectful to you and not causing a scene. Will never go back to this place as THEY ACCUSE YOU FOR THEIR LACK IN SANITATION PROCESS. Seemed like they were really busy that although 2 staff members were near the front, another waitress from the waitress food assembly area had to alert them. " New customer, please assist." In a short statement yet curious fashion. Directed us to a booth near to us. My friend requested the different the waitress was fine with that. Same time Waitress was ready to take our beverage order, However, again in a somewhat curious yet short statement fashion. Gave us our drinks and the same short statement somewhat curious fashion. Took our food order. I had the " CARNE EN SU JUGO" which was very good. When I wanted some more water. Had to do a friendly stare down with a near by waitress to give my request. The waitress that serviced the table didn't do any check ups. At the end my friend had to flag the waitress for the check. In final, my impression of the customer service experience. They really had the fundamental basics. I give and take a little that they we're busy. Although wonder if on a slow business if it's the same customer service experience. The food was really good though.
Would I recommend? From my experience, sure for the food. However, the customer service experience 50/50.
Would I go back? If already within a group. Personally, sure at random. Mostly for the food. Then maybe to see if they have a the same or different show of customer...
