Tacos El Barbas — Restaurant in South Gate

This tiny taco place is situated on the end of a corner shopping plaza across from the police station. It's definitely a "blink and you'll miss it" type of place. But what you'll be missing out on if you do overlook it! There are tons of taco places in the South Gate area. This would seem to be one of many. However, their quality of food is nothing short of fantastic! They have numerous kinds of freshly prepared meats...all juicy and delicious. I got the Taco Tuesday special...$7.99 for three tacos, rice, beans, and Agua Fresca! An Agua Fresca alone will run you about 3 or 4 bucks at any taco place. I chose the carne asada, carnitas, and barbacoa for my three tacos. The meat was flavorful and tender. This is a steal for the price. My brother got a burrito and carne asada fries.
