China Buffet — Restaurant in South Haven

Dear China Buffet’s guests, My name is Chen, I am the China buffet restaurant ‘s owner, I am so pleased to serve food in South haven for almost 15 years with my family! Yes, we had a lots of great memories with our customers who support our business all the time. I thank you for all this year’s support! Really appreciate it! I don’t really reply people’s review, no matter good or bad, I listen everyone’s voice, do my best to do better and serve better, but I still have some wrong stories I heard back from the reviews. People said our floor was greasy, I am so sorry about that, but it was not greasy, we had rainy days for months, it was very humidity, just like all other place the tile floor gets moisture, especially the buffet steam bar make it even more moisture, we turn AC to very low temperature tried to get rid of moisture, then customer complained the restaurant is cold, food is not hot enough! I hope I can find better way to ballance this propblem, or someone who can give us suggestions, I’ll really appreciate it! Now the weather gets warmer, we have no more humidity’s problem, floor is never “ greasy” now! Some people complained our food is dried then call health department when she got into her truck, our server Myriah asked her many time during she was eating here, she said everything is fine, after she’s done eating, she complaned to my brother food was dried, my brother did NOT charge her at the end, she ate for FREE! But he did told her if there is any problem with the food, let our server knows during eating, we will cook more food to replace dried food and do our best to let everyone happy. We have a lots of online orders came in thru our web to our cellphone, my brother was check the online orders on his phone, not played phone during work! Again! I appreciated all the comments, that really help us do better job for the restaurant. As I watched the staff members handle the food and salad bar without wearing gloves, I couldn't help but feel uneasy about the cleanliness of the establishment. The sight of them wiping down the surfaces with what appeared to be dirty rags from the kitchen only compounded my concerns. It was clear that basic hygiene standards were not being met, posing a serious risk to the health and safety of patrons.

Overall, my experience at the China Buffet was marred by both the lackluster food quality and the alarming lapses in sanitation. It's deeply concerning to witness such negligence in a restaurant setting, and I would hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone. As a resident of South Haven I come here from time to time and I can honestly say that this is the best place to go for Chinese food. If you come you should try the General Tso's chicken or the teriyaki chicken on a stick. There is only like two more places to get Chinese food here in town but they are not really worth it. I cannot believe these other people rating this restaurant with only 1 or 2 stars, Some people when they write reviews complain about minor little stuff like "Oh there was not enough ice cubes in my soda" So what?
