Nestled in a strip mall, Bruschette is a hidden gem in South Lake Tahoe that delivers an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting interior made us feel right at home. Our server was incredibly attentive, making sure every detail of our meal was perfect.
We started with cocktails and were thrilled to learn that they craft their own syrups for mixers, adding a unique and personal touch. My friend ordered a cocktail with a smoky flavor that was truly impressive—it set the tone for an amazing evening.
Having read reviews beforehand, I knew the portions were generous, so I suggested a family-style approach for our party of four. To start, we ordered two minestrone soups and a large Caesar salad. The Caesar, with its creamy dressing and anchovies, was a classic done right—I loved it!
For our main dishes, we shared three standout entrees. The 20-layer lasagna was the highlight of the evening. Absolutely delicious, it was large enough for all four of us to share, and we still couldn’t finish it! The veal Parmesan was another hit, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Lastly, the filet mignon with fried gnocchi stole the show—the filet was cooked to perfection, and the sauce paired beautifully with the crispy gnocchi.
We were too full for dessert, but the overall experience was so satisfying that it didn’t feel like we missed out. I loved that Bruschette offers large portions, which makes sharing a fantastic option, especially for groups. Ordering family-style not only allowed us to sample a variety of dishes but also made the meal more affordable, leaving room to enjoy cocktails and other courses.
The service was outstanding, with our waiter bringing extra plates without hesitation, ensuring everything was seamless. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu—this is a must-visit spot in South Lake Tahoe for anyone dining with a group....

Let me start off that Sean our waiter was super fantastic. He guided us through the menu and gave us some great recommendations.
We started off with a round of wonderful drinks from the old fashioned to the blackberry limoncello spritz.
For appetizers we had the Mac & cheese croquettes ($15) in a three cheese sauce Each was amazing, the mussels with fennel sausage $17 in a butter white wine and shallot sauce, unbelievable and the roasted cherry & plum tomato bruschetta which was over the top!!!
For dinner, another OMG!!!!! We had the yellow Chantetelle mushroom Botti with their home made house ricotta cheese, ricotta, garlic, thyme and nutmeg with some added shrimp as a protein. The pasta was so smooth and creamy and the sauce so delicious.
My cousin and I shared the 20 layer lasagna ($33) and the veal Parmesan ($48).
The lasagna is their signature dish and let me tell you, it is so friggin huge, loaded up with meats and cheese ( veal, pork, pancetta, bechemel, sauce Parmesan and basil. This dish was huge and delicious!!!! Get this!!!
The break parm I will be honest. I always order veal parm when it is on There menu but When I saw the price, I just thought I am not going to pay that much. Sean came over and enthusiastically told me about the veal parm and goes huge the portion was, so I decided to get it. Let me tell you, I was 110% amazed and satisfied by this dish. The portion was the largest I ever saw and the veal thick, but pounded tender and delicious!!!!! I loved this dish.
I highly recommend Bruschetta. Their food and service is over the top! Sean was amazing with his service...
Read moreBeing a newer restaurant, we decided to try it. The restaurant is quant and comfortable, it gives you a relaxed feeling. Nikki our waitress was excellent. She was very pleasant and answered all our questions. There were four of us for dinner. We ordered three appetizers; the Mac & Cheese Croquettes, they were excellent, very tasty, the Cheesy Bread Knotts, they were good, and we ordered a special appetizer; the wine reduction pear bruschetta, this was not your regular bruschetta, if you are in the mood for the regular one, order the roasted cherry & plum tomato bruschetta of the menu. For dinner two of us ordered the 20 Layer Lasagna, one ordered the Pear & Gorgonzola Ravioli, and one ordered the Lamb Pappardelle. The lasagnas were huge. I think one is enough for two people. It was very tasty and fresh, but a little salty. The lamb dish was excellent, and the ravioli was not your standard ravioli, it was tasty, but a little different. We did order a Zeppole for desert to try it out. It was nice and tasty, especially with the lemon curd dip, but maybe they should not call it zeppole, it is not your standard taste, though it was very good. My wife had the espresso over ice cream, and they made it a decaf, she loved it. I will consider going back, and maybe try their...
