Village Diner — Restaurant in South Orange

I've ordered from this restaurant a few times in the past with no problem. But I'm not pleased with my order today at all. I called and spoke to the manager, who really was not very helpful at all. Other than to tell me how sorry he was. I don't really care how sorry you are when I'm spending my money for food. I placed an order via Grubhub. They ask you if you have any additional information to add which I did. I asked that there be no coleslaw added. Yet there it was in my order. I don't like mayo, I don't like coleslaw. The containers often open and then your other food is soaked in mayonnaise and it's disgusting. Also, I selected well done for my burger and it clearly is not. The meat is still red/pink inside and inedible. In order for me to eat this, I would need to continue cooking it. If I wanted to cook myself, I wouldn't have ordered from a restaurant. I explained this to the manager as well. Only to again be told how sorry he was that they did not pay attention. That's not my problem, but they made it my problem by not cooking my food properly. I will be going back there tomorrow morning and I'm taking this raw...

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT.... Our food was ok.. the waiter was attentive.. ALLIE, the owner, is a terrible business woman.. we literally watched an elderly woman wait over 15 min for coffee and when she confronted Allie about it, Allie told her not to come on Sundays because it's too busy and she didn't have time.. when I confronted Allie about how she treated the woman she said "she's here every day, she's crazy"... I said "she's here every day and that's how you treat your regular customers?" Then Allie's husband came out and they tried to say that they're short staffed.. I told them Allie is the reason they are short staffed.. it's not worth the time and money to be treated that way or witness someone be...

I GOTTA SAY THAT VILLAGE DINER ME AND MY SON LOVES ❤️ 😍 THIS PLACE BREAKFAST OR BRUNCH IS TOP NOTCH 💯 THE PRESENTATION OF THE FOOD BE PACKED VERY WELL AND NEATLY AND SECURED. I NEVER WAS DISAPPOINTED GETTING MY FOOD DELIVERED FROM THIS LOCATION. THE PORTIONS OF THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. 👌WHOMEVER IS DOING THE COOKING IS VERY NEATLY AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. WHATEVER THEY'RE DOING IN THE KITCHEN. I NEVER WAS DISAPPOINTED GETTING MY FOOD FROM THIS PLACE. I LOVE 😊💕🥰TO COOK BUT MOST OF THE TIME. I DON'T FEEL LIKE COOKING ON THE WEEKENDS.
