Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Los Angeles

If I could give this Popeyes location no stars I would. I ordered through the app the other night around 10pm. I quickly drive there only to find the doors locked and the drive thru blocked with cones. Another woman was standing by the door looking confused and I asked her if she was waiting for her food. She said she was with Uber eats and was trying to pick up an order, but couldn’t get in to get the food. We knocked on the door as an employee walked by and ignored us. We both walked around to the drive thru window and a teenager who looked like he didn’t want to be there said his manager was coming to talk to us. The woman and I asked the manager if our orders were ready, and the manager replied that they have NO FOOD?! He also said he had turned off the mobile ordering service and didn’t know why our orders had gone through. The woman asked if she should cancel the order and he said “I don’t know.” I asked if I could get a refund he said he couldn’t give me one because he didn’t have the ability to?!?? I asked how is that possible, and he basically said it was out of his hands because they are a franchise and not an official Popeyes location and that there was no customer support he could refer me to. I was amazed. So Popeyes can take your money and claim they have no food and no way of giving a refund! As I was pulling away I noticed another car pull in and attempt to go through the drive thru, probably had the same thing happen to them.

This location should be shut down. Ive come here before during normal hours and they’re just closed. I understand we had a pandemic and places are short staffed but that is no excuse for terrible business practices. I will never come back to this location and I hope this review warns others to...

I don’t know why I keep coming bc every time I do, and get bad service. Last night I ordered two orders of the Tuesday special and he handed me a bag with one box. I ordered one box spicy and one box regular. He had to yell over to the other guy to ask what he got. Then to find out after I got home that they were both plain, non spicy. Also, we only got one napkin. Really!?! The many times I’ve gone there, it just seems like they don’t want to be there. If so, they shouldn’t be there bc service stinks. One time, I heard while in the drive thru, a bunch of them cussing and yelling. I had to tell them that it was unprofessional. Lastly, I have to agree with another reviewer that their chicken pieces are small. I’ve gone to other Popeyes and I was surprised how big their pieces were. No comparison! I don’t think I’ll be going back! PS I know there’s a place to give a review somewhere for Popeyes, but I couldn’t bc I didn’t get a receipt. You need their store # to be able to fill it out. Interesting to see that most of the complaints have to do with customer service. I ordered there today and was disappointed with the service I was provided. Teller was too lazy to tell me what type of dipping sauces they had for my meal. Mind you they are posted but I had difficulty locating them since the menu board is so busy and overloaded with items in such a small place. She directed me to where they were located, but could have stated that after telling me their options. Also, did not honor my t-mobile Tuesday coupon, which is a little annoying but it's their business so what choice do I really have other than to accept those terms. I did for today but will be taking my business elsewhere. Two Popeyes near by that have honored coupons before and that have better customer service.
