It is a hit or miss. 1st time there Roy was our server. He went above and beyond. Got us refills asked how everything was going if we needed anything. Excellent..$20.00 tip 2nd time (1 week later) we were helped by Olga...bad service. Waited for refills, I had to ask someone else for coffee creamers, and when he placed them on the table, he like threw them...$5.00 tip, we took a Greek salad with chicken to go..they forgot the bread. We went for a 3rd time were gonna have a new server, he took our order we asked about the bread from yesterday and he said he would take care of it. Something happened that he went to break and then Roy ended us helping us. Great service but seemed he seemed overwhelmed. 4th visit (10-15-23). We had Olga as the server. It was early so we had breakfast other times we had gotten there around 10:30 am where we had the option to have breakfast or lunch. I ordered the chilaquiles, son had pork chops and my wife had French toast. Food was awesome..we got there so early that we got parking next to the restaurant and if you've been there before sometime you have to park by Lowes. Well it started to get busy..you can tell by the tables getting full and people chattering outside waiting. Olga was at the "bar" and helping outside seating guests...she forgot about us. I wanted a refill. Kept on waiting she passed by I called her by name but I guess I wasn't loud enough, my wife didn't want me to take it out on Olga, that my wife got up and asked another waiter for a refill. I couldn't get up because the table to the left of me was close by and I didn't want to make it u comfortable for them. The check came..I decided to pay by phone...didn't want to wait 15 minutes to be charged. That's how I found out joining their rewards is by paying by phone. This time $0.00 tip. We will be back..hopefully service will be better. (Yes they have a sign at check in about less employess)....
Read moreWe walked down from Raymond hill to Twohey’s one Sunday morning. After a 30 min or so wait, we were taken to our table. I have to admit that this is the first time we’ve been to this location since it opened and had no expectations. We looked around and noticed some delicious looking plates being delivered to tables around and were hopeful our selection would be just as picturesque. After a brief deliberation we settled on a few favorites. First was the short rib hash. The short ribs and potatoes sat in a wonderful au jus type gravy and the eggs on top rounded out the dish. The short ribs were tender, the cherry tomatoes provided a refreshing pop of palate cleansing goodness, and the toast provided a vessel by which all of these wonderful ingredients could be married together. Next was the Napa omelette, bursting with vegetables and perfectly complimented by the crispy home style potatoes. Another must order was the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were fluffy and the gravy rich and hearty. The side of hash browns and eggs paired perfectly. Of course, since it was also lunch time, someone had to order the everything burger with a side of onion rings. The burger was juicy and toppings piled high, while the onion rings were freshly battered and crisped to perfection. They really know how to make a good onion ring. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we were pleasant surprised at the overall vibe, atmosphere, and attentiveness of the staff. The music was great and our meals came out of the kitchen in a timely manner. We look forward to returning again soon, they have such a large menu you can come several times before having the same...
Read moreRecently moved nearby and had seen the food truck on Localish, so we wanted to give the brick-and-mortar Twoheys a try. We started with cocktails and buffalo chicken wings. The cocktails were decent, though the whiskey list is a bit limited. The wings were excellent--perfectly fried, and I'm not sure if they're making their own buffalo sauce or if it's bottled, but I really liked it. Not crazy hot, but had a kick with some excellent flavors to go along with that--not your average buffalo sauce. Then for mains we ordered the everything burger, and the fried chicken plate. I added a bowl of the cheesy potato soup to my fried chicken, and I was really glad I did--super creamy and delicious soup, this was one of my favorite items. The burger was very flavorful with plenty of veggies. The fried chicken I'd say was good, not great. Again, perfectly fried, with super crispy skin and the meat inside still moist but definitely fully cooked. But the breading on the chicken was a bit bland, definitely lacking salt and in my opinion a little heat. The mashed potatoes were just OK--a little bit clumpy/paste-like. The spinach was AW-FUL. Like, zero flavor. Where is the salt at y'all???
Overall I'd say our experience at Twoheys was about the same as how we felt about the fried chicken plate: good, but not great. Especially when you consider the prices--I didn't feel like I got a great value for what I paid, the prices seem a little high for the flavor/quality you end up getting, but we do intend to come back and try other menu items--maybe we didn't order one of their "home...
