Without question, Chenchos's is one of the finest Mexican restautanrts in the country AND at reasonable prices. It is a mindblowing blessing that it is here in the small town of South Pittsbrg, TN. EVERYTHING from their warm, thin, and delcious chips and awesome salsa, to the main courses are fantastic and delicous! It is obvious the chef has some serious cullinary chops because it is displayed in his dishes. They are also aesthetically pleasing in the artful way they are presented. I tried a chimiganga and the chicken melted in my mouth, tasted fantastic, and remained crisp somehow to the the last bite. Typcal add ons like beans and rice, were anything but typical. They were awesome also! I had a lettuce wrap meal there earlier in the week, and even the lettuce wraps were large, untorn and perfectly shaped cups. Without putting down any other Mexican Restaurant in our area or in Chatanooga, Chencho's is simply the...

Restaurant Review:

Recently checked out this new spot, and overall, it was a solid experience! The atmosphere was great—modern, clean, and even has a nice-looking upstairs area. The staff was attentive and responsive, which made for a smooth visit.

One thing that stood out immediately was the cleanliness—maybe a little too much, as the strong scent of Fabuloso greeted me at the door. While I appreciate a spotless restaurant, a more subtle scent would be ideal.

The food itself was good, though it could use a bit more flavor to really stand out. Prices for food seemed reasonable, but the drinks were on the pricey side, especially considering the taste. The margaritas, in particular, weren’t my favorite, so I’d probably skip those next time.

I’d definitely return for another meal, but I’d love to see some specials like a happy hour or Taco Tuesday to make the experience even better. Looking forward to seeing how this...

My New Favorite Place in Town!

My husband took me out on a date to this new restaurant in town and all I can say is "Wow!"

I love everything about this place from the tortilla chips to the service. It's unlike any other place in town (or in the area for that matter).

My husband order the enchiladas and I got the loaded burrito with pickled Jalapeños. Needless to say we cleaned our plates.

I also ordered a passion fruit frozen margarita and was already feeling it before my food arrived, so they didn't skimp on the "silly juice". 😅

We are looking forward to warmer weather so we can enjoy their second story area with roll-up windows looking over the Princess Theater.

All in all if you are in the South Pittsburg area and are looking for a place to stop and grab a bite, I highly recommend this restaurant.

You won't be...

I was invited by family to eat here and it was much better than I imagined! We were a group of 12 that RSVP to be on the top floor, and everyone was satisfied with this place. It seems like most Mexican restaurants around here are okay, so I wasn't expecting much of a difference, but I was wrong. Everything tasted really good. The staff members were kind. You get your money's worth. I had the 3 American Tacos with shrimp. I loved it and already want it again! The cheese dip was the best that I've had compared to others as well. I can't wait to go back again! I took a picture of the full kids' menu since it wasn't already in the reviews. We had a baby, toddler, and a child and everything was good with them.
