Me and my girlfriend thought we'd try something different for lunch. I'll be straight to the point and say this is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in Maine. We walked in and we sat up at the bar and the place is very quiet but with 3 other people. One person working on the front end. I found the service we got was SOOO disappointing that even Gordon Ramsey would throw a fit. Also the food quality just seems to be cheap and pathetic as well. Small portions to value was expensive. Taken such a long time to have the meals come out and the meal was just so boring. The waiter/bartender didn't check up how the meals were and she was too busy talking about her personal life to the regulars while eating at the bar. Not something I want to hear you have thyroid issues etc. Also when we completed the meals she seen us finished but didn't take the plates away. Just doing her own thing talking to other customers. So over all I have waited to check out over 15 minutes while she's having ideal chat with regulars to check out. I was close to snapping to say I would like to leave. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Also by the looks of the reviews on here they gone...
Read moreI would give zero if it was possible. Sent my boyfriend to do a take out order. With a note. Which was read by the staff. My baked stuffed haddock was ordered WITH NO CHEESE SAUCE (honestly who puts cheese sauce on fish?!), but rather the lemon butter. I STILL GOT THE GROSS CHEESE SAUCE. I ordered the mashed potatoes which were gray in color and had a dirty ramiken of gravy placed DIRECTLY IN THE MIDDLE (despite half of the togo container being free of food). Then there was the "salad" which maybe had all of 3 pieces of browning lettuce and unripened tomatoes. When my boyfriend returned home and I discovered what The Bridgeway tried to pass as food that wasn't even what I ordered, I suggested we call to let them know and have it remade. It was 8:37 and my boyfriend informed me they closed 10min after he arrived (so they close at 8). I couldn't even eat the potatoes because of the dirty ramiken they placed directly on them and the salad was a joke ready for the compost pile. Do yourself a favor and run from...
Read moreThe restaurant is friendly and comfortable. The food is not bad. The prices are low for the area but high for the food quality. For example, $11 is not unreasonable to pay for a bacon cheeseburger in the Old Port or Knightville, it's actually low, but usually that's a well-cooked juicy burger with aged cheddar, smoked apple bacon and a delicious roll. $11 is a bit pricey for a stingy measure of slightly overcooked 80/20 under a few slice of American cheese and dehydrated bacon in a plain toasted bun. It wasn't a bad burger, but it wasn't good burger. It was an OK burger. Maybe I just caught them on...
